This is our fourth trip back to ACE! Always wonderful. This time we sprung for a luxury cabin and boy were we happy. Wonderful accomodations with everything we could ask for. Clean, comfortable. We did the Mud Obstacle Course with a great guide named Chris. So much fun. He really made it fun for us all. Later that evening we... More

You can't complain about the location since geographic National Treasures like the New River Gorge are found where they are. This is a bit remote, but the setting severs that nagging connection to work, facebook, etc. with the scarcity of wifi. I took my teen daughters and twenty-something niece and nephew on a two-day camping trip and had a great... More

We traveled 8 hours from Philly to join the family for rafting, paintball and zip lining. It was well worth the drive! The accommodations were great. Our cottage was cute, cozy, super clean and updated. The cottage had a private hot tub, grill and bonfire pit. We used them all! The main office had firewood and charcoal. We grilled hotdogs... More

First off, I will start with the good: the New River rafting trips are gorgeous & a lot of fun, and the guides are wonderful. The lake is also very enjoyable for kids. If you are going seeking family adventure, I offer this advice: in no way, shape or form put yourself in the position of having to eat at... More

I just read your review and thought it was necessary for me to respond, so you are aware that we are indeed listening. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time on the New River and the guides were wonderful. It is a magical place and we are lucky to call the New River Gorge home. I am also glad... More

I live about an hour from all the rafting companying in the Oak Hill/ Fayetteville area. I have been loyal to ONE company for years but decided to try ACE with a travelzoo deal on a last minute spontaneous whim. It did not disappoint. We rafted on the all day lower new trip. We were very safe in the hands... More

We have just come back from having 4 great days at Ace Adventure. It was our first time, stayed in the very cute and cosy cabins...Ace booking dept thought it might be a squeeze as our boys are teenagers but it was perfect and we all loved to relax in the hot tub after our exhilarating days. We did the... More

I've been to ace multiple times and it keeps getting better! Staff is so welcoming and friendly, they make it a great time. Just stayed there with a group of 20 something yr olds, perfect trip on a budget. $150 for a whole weekend of camping, music festival, adventure lake and half day of rafting. Such a good deal! During... More

We stayed in a very cute Cedar cabin, very affordable for the week. The mud obstacle course was a fun. We went on the all day lower river whitewater trip and Wow had such a great time! Our guide Mike was awesome! Felix from the dinner was a cook not a server but he was very very nice and took... More

I have returned to Ace twice for an AWESOME time. This year we did an overnight family rafting trip with two 8 year-olds. The river was beautiful, as always, the food was amazing, and inflatable duckies made the Class 3 rapids exciting, especially for the kids. But what really MADE the trip was our guide, cook, historian, and entertainer "Mr.... More

We are an active family and have rafted and zip lined before both in the US and South America. That behind said, I question the safety of this resort. Climbing slippery rocks to each zip line station was treacherous. A boardwalk of some type is desperately needed. The rafting was even worse. Groups of kids not listening to directions, way... More
