Lodge is very nice. We stayed in a king bed room on 5th floor overlooking golf course. Enjoyed the hiking, especially the twin falls trail. Most places you do have to drive to get to the trailhead especially in the Smokey Mountains! Restaurant food was good with great service. The month of January most state parks are offering $50 per... It is relatively quiet and peaceful here but don't book a room on floors 5 & 6 facing east. Your view will only that of steep roof over pool. Rooms facing south a little better, they can see over rooftop. What was this architect thinking? Oh, and you have to drive to nearest walking trail. Go figure.

What a find deep in the West Virginia hills. Lovely resort with all the amenities of home, except for cell phone service, which can be a good thing. Very friendly staff. Nice display of antique rifles and Carnival Glass. Rooms are extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Free wifi. Hiking trails (easy to moderate), golfing, indoor and outdoor... Our family enjoyed a two night stay at the new section of the lodge (think moderate hotel). The staff was great and our girls enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor one is much older but has great character (like depths of 12 feet) but was cold. The indoor pool was warm and new. Our room was very... More

Everything here is wonderful! The indoor pool is warm and clean. Outdoor pool looked nice but we didn't use it. The hiking trails are great, there is something for any level of exertion. Loved the gift shop, I hate to think of everything we bought! The Pioneer Farm is so adorable with a horse that comes right up to you... More

You walk into the cavernous registration lobby with overstuffed furniture and a fireplace; however, the undecorated antiseptic white walls make for more of a hospital atmosphere. No one sits in the big lobby even with the fire in the fireplace. Lobby does not invite a "sit-down." It is over lit, and echos. Upside: The rooms in the newer section near... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the lodge in Twin Fall State Park. Our room was very clean and appeared that we may have been some of the first people who had stayed in it. The park has many activities throughout the year and we were there for the Annual Lumberjackin’ Bluegrassin’ Jamboree. The front desk staff was... More

I completed a three night stay in one of the cabins, while attending a Conference. Positives - Beautiful lodge, absolutely delicious food and exceptional food service! Negatives - The cabins are horribly outdated and should be an embarrassment to your park. First of all, our reservation (which was made well in advance), was for a three bedroom cabin. Upon check-in,... More

While attending a funeral, because of our large family, we booked both a lodge room and a cabin. The lodge room was very comfortable, overlooked a pretty courtyard, and was clean and well-appointed for the money. The two bedroom cabin, on the other hand, was very dirty. My mother actually purchased bathroom cleaner and cleaned the shower prior to using... More

Excellent Stay! While attending a funeral choices were very limited so we decided to give it a try and my entire family (a lot of us) stayed here... Staff, food, pricing were all excellent. My family loved the serenity of the area and peacefulness it provided. Rooms in the new lodge were very comfortable everything you need is right there.... More
