a really nice serene place for some R&R.... Very clean rooms...lack of attached washrooms a big drawback. The property overall needs some repair. So does the approach road. Overall, a nice lace to stay for a couple of days. Will return again.

In reality, the title says it all. they have no internet or cell phone service or in-room phones for the guests. and if you get there after dark... forget about finding anyone or anything. The road is VERY POORLY lit. We got so lost at one point we were on an unpaved road in the middle of the forest- with... More

As the other reviewers say, it is quite nice to stay in the cabins or the apartment suite. The rooms?! Not so great. Turns out all the single and double rooms need to share bathrooms and toilets. They are not attached to your room. We weren't aware of that and that really put us off. While the room itself is... More

We visited this place during the long weekend and decided to stay overnight at the cabins. We are happy we decided to stay over here. The cost is reasonable for the cabin, it is well maintained and gives you a feel of staying in a state park cabin. It is within the premises and very close to the temple, palace... More

We were a little skeptical about the place before we went there but it was really worth the extra one and half hour drive from pittsburgh. Its so peaceful here and so relaxing, would definitely go there another time for a relaxing weekend. We stayed in Cabin cottages and it was out first time staying in such a cottage and... More

The Palace of Gold Guest Lodge in the New Vrindavan Community is undergoing a much-needed facelift. It's true that the community has gone through so many things in the past, but they have recently been making major changes for the good. The Palace Guest Lodge has had half of its 40 rooms totally renovated over the winter, and this last... More

We stopped at this place after coming from New York back to Champaign. Unlike the reviewer who stayed in the dorm, we booked a cottage (with kids that is better). Cottages are priced at $150 per day. The experience was great. The cottages are basic, wooden establishments, at the bank of the pond. It has a small kitchen (with utensils)... More

We got what we paid for. Our room was $40. Our bed had just been slept in and not made up and the waste can was full of trash. There were holes in the walls in the bathrooms across the hall. We traveled with 2 other couples and we all slept in our clothes and and as we could see... More

We were honestly pleasantly surprised by the whole Palace of Gold project. The Krishna devotees were very approachable, and though eager to share their lifestyle with us, allowed us space to digest things at our own pace. The surroundings are peaceful, and beautiful... and the Palace itself is a definite work of devotion. The Guesthouse is very comfortable. I'd definitely... More

I visited the Palace of Gold this past summer.(2004) I was visiting friends and family from the area, and decided to give my three children a tour of the area. We were greeted by warm and friendly devotees. We loved the idea we could experience Indian culture in WV. We had lunch and ordered three or four different meals. The... More
