My husband and I stayed here in March while driving from NY to SC. It was so nice we stayed again in April on the way back. The front desk service was excellent, our room large and very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub area were also very clean. Our experience was excellent and... more

Hotel needs major updated. It is in the 80's time warp. The worst was the bed, which had a big sinkhole in the center. I got this through priceline for 50. Not even worth that. They attempted to add an extra charge for 1.00 on my incidentals for safe warrant. I called down and questioned the charge. They asked me... more

This was a wedding we attended last weekend. The room needs updated. The bed needs replaced. Voices and noise are heard through the thin walls. The bathroom was too small. I had to call the desk on two occasions for security to stop a party going on outside our room in the hall at 2:30a.m. and again at 3:00a.m. The... more

The room needed upgrading..TV from 1980...bad bedspreads, yellowish sheets...not too inviting. Thin walls, and ceilings. Fire alarm went off at 11:30pm. Went to clear the building, which no one else did...must have been a false alarm. Tried repeatedly to call front desk to find futher information. Line busy for 45 min. We made sure where closest exit was; just in... more

This was the second time staying here. Apparently the rooms have been remodeled, but when I got in, it still looked the same. Old, grundgey/crappy looking, smelled weird, and had very thin walls. The place looked great from the outside, but a total RIP OFF, and I paid $50 on priceline. I hear the Clarion Hotel Morgan is much better. more

Where do I begin? This place is horrible! I was there to attend a wedding and the staff, even though very nice, has no clue how to run a resort or have a clue on how to handle a wedding. The bride/groom made up gift bags for the guest and only half of the guest got them. The rooms were... more

Our daughter started at WVU this year and we opted to move her in a day early during Student, Parent Orientation day. We drove from Easton, Pa. in the early morning hours arriving in Morgantown in time for the morning activities. It was an all day affair and we did not arrive at the hotel until 8:00 pm. Totally exhausted... more

I don't know why this place is getting bashed here (other than an understandable wedding without a/c). We just came back after taking our son to WVU and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. It was great! We had a lovely room that looked recently redone. Our TV had many chanels with great reception. Our bathroom was clean and... more

I recently got married at Lakview. First let me say I have heard of good weddings and bad weddings at Lakeview. Obviously I was one of the bad ones. Overall they have serious management and staffing issues and don't have a focus on customer service and communication!! If you are a bride that would like to rely on a "one... more

Just stayed at the Lakeview and was very wary after reading all the reviews here but was pleasantly surprised. Was just staying for a week's vacation time with another couple's time share at the condos. It was a bit outdated but we're not picky with our rooms, as long as things aren't falling apart and there's plenty of hot water... more
