Just spent our 3rd New Yrs Eve at the Bed and Breakfast - We plan on spending next New Yrs there too. With all the new Hatfield and McCoy trail additions this is the place to stay!!!! Sharon, Diana and Gary are the best - breakfasts are very filling and it is very clean and quiet.

We were in Williamson, WV, obviously looking lost because a nice man stopped us to see if he could help, he said we looked lost. Lol. He recommended this "great B &B" in Matewan. We found the place on our phone and called to see if there were any vacancies. Sharon was very nice on the phone and when we... More

I did not book this hotel. I was in the area for the Hatfield and McCoy GeoTrail and was asked by a friend if my husband and I wanted to share his room since he had an extra bed. We did not stay in the main house. We stayed in the rooms behind the house. The room is what it... More

What a great visit, we are very impressed. It started with a very late arrival and the B & B was closed. We looked around town and found other accommodations that we found lacking. As we were looking some of the other guests came back to the B & B and showed us how to contact someone. As it turned... More

Excellent stay in the small town of Matewan. Our host Sharon was very nice and took care of all of are needs. The house is old but well taken care of and the breakfast was very good as well. This is a B&B that has a lot of ATV riders so their will be some noise and also their is... More

This B&B is charming, quaint, homey, and very, very welcoming. The rooms are clean. We had the Mountain Room. Our only complaint is that the bathroom was open, with just a partition between the bed and the toilet. The frequent trains throughout night were annoying. The trains are directly behind the building, and are so loud, it sounds as if... More

For a trip offthe beaten path, we decided to stay at Matewan, WV and, having no hotels of report, we decided on the Matewan B&B. Sharon was super nice and most accomodating. Old home, converted to a B&B has all the trapping of your home and more. Only negative (and a very small one) was an occasional train but that... More

This was our second trip to Matewan and to the Matewan B&B. Sharon and Pat Garland made us feel so welcome on our first visit that we had to make another trip there while in West Virginia. We were saddened at the news that Pat had passed away and Sharon is running the inn on her own. She hasn't missed... More
