I was booked to stay several nights at this motel but left after the first night. This is an old building, probably from the 60's, that is in big time need of an upgrade or tear down and try again approach. The carpet, bed linens and curtains were horribly mismatched and the latter two old and tattered. The upholstery on... more

Very clean and pets allowed. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this motel! I felt safe here as a female traveling solo. The only negative was the old credit card machine printed the full card number on the customer receipt. more

This hotel is old and a bit rough around the edges, but I liked it.Maybe it was the friendliness of the desk clerks or the quaint pyrex containers used for the continental breakfast, but I somehow felt like I had stepped back in time. The room was clean, and there were lots of towels stacked up in the bathroom. The TV set was old but... more

My room was at the end of the motel, off a short, inside hallway. Most of the rooms are on the outside of the motel. Since it's on the inside, there's no real chance for ventilation, and that meant the air was a bit stale. The staff had very obviously tried to fight complaints about stuffiness or stale air by... more

I had earned a free night's stay through the points club that Econo Lodge is a part of, and redeemed it for a night's stay at this hotel. I was relatively pleased overall with the hotel. My recommendation in staying at this hotel is that it is perfect if you are on a long trip (as I was) and need... more

Decided to try this motel based on TripAdvisor Rating. Positives= Staff was pleasant enough. Bedding was clean. Negatives= The rumble from Interstate 81 was more than evident throughout the night. It's as though a piece of bedrock spans the highway and the motel. Hopefully, you're a heavy sleeper. The bathroom and sink were just passable. Would try a different motel... more

I spent the night here so I could be in the area early for a conference. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. If you're on the road and just need a place to crash near 81, this will work for you. There is a Wal-Mart across the street, so you can stock up on groceries or travel... more

Another late night on I-81. This time I couldn't reach my rural destination because of an ice storm. I backtracked to the highway, and, low on funds, inquired about price. When the desk clerk learned of my situation, he offered me the AARP discount even though I couldn't find my membership card. His helpful and caring attitude helped me accept... more

If you are reading this, then you are probably looking for a good, inexpensive, no-frills hotel to hang your hat for a night before continuing your journey. Well this hotel is GOOD for that. The check-in service was great, and the rooms were very basic but seemed pretty clean and acceptable. The employees were very friendly, and for $60, it... more

The reason we picked this hotel is that they were the nearest pet friendly hotel to Charles Town, WV. The rooms were nice and clean, the king size bed was very comfortable. The location to I-81 was very convenient and scenic. This is one of our favorite hotels, we'll be back again. more
