Nelson is so friendly you could see him in the roll of John boy Walton. The price is fantastic, with clean, well appointed rooms. It is modern enough to keep you connected with the age and charm to remind you of how life was in the days long gone. Coffee is fresh at 7, kitchen is very well thought out.... More

Revisited a childhood residence from over 40 years ago and took my wife on a road trip. The Old Clark was my intentional accommodation from fond memories. Clean, nostalgic, and even romantic. We even got to watch the Alabama football game and was able to check on necessary work email via the free wifi. Won't find a better inn keeping... More

My motorcycle buddy and I stopped in to the Old Clark Inn, sight unseen, just on a whim last night as we were passing through Marlinton...we were going to stay at the Marlinton Inn, outside of town, but it looked a little worse for the weather AND we did not want to have to get on the bikes to head... We stayed at the Inn for the first time last evening........me and 2 riding buddies. It was a last minute weekend getaway and when it came time to find a place to stay the Old Clark Inn jumped into my head for some reason. I called and was told that all they had available was an economy room with shared... More

It is not the cheapest location in the city, but it is very competitive. I think I paid about 10.00 more than the cheapest lodging in the city. It is a small house that has been converted into a B&B. Downstairs rooms have a bathroom. Upstairs rooms share one. The prices downstairs are higher than upstairs. Included with lodging is... More

We decided to attend the Roadkill Cook-Off in Marlinton and were lucky enough to get a room at the Old Clark Inn for one night. I will say it was quaint and very enjoyable. And the location to downtown Marlinton was great. The room was not large but comfortable and clean. There are 11 rooms at the inn I do... More

4 of us senior Greenbrier River Trail bicycle riders stayed at Old Clark Inn Sep 13-14, 2015. Reservations were easy to make. Price was very affordable. The owners, Andrea and Nelson were very outward at letting us know this was no fancy hotel but a down home Inn that would meet our needs. If your expecting a large fancy room,... More

In Marlinton WV, this is one of the nicer places to spend a lovely, quiet evening. You are within walking distance of a couple places to eat. Rooms are quaint but very clean. Room TV's are small so bring a book. Some rooms share a bathroom, others have their own so make your choice known. Very reasonable rates.

We stayed at the Old Clark Inn for one night while bicycling the Greenbrier River Trail. Perfectly located it provided the break we needed in a very pleasant room. We arrived early and the owner couldn't have been more accomodating. We had a bathroom in our room. Despite the age of the building all of the services were up to... More
