Stayed here to ride the Greenbrier Bike Trail. The owners are fabulous. The food is first rate. Dave even runs shuttle for bikers. He is also knowledgable about everything going in the area. They have opened a pub downstairs with a great selection of wine, beer, and dinners. We stayed in the suite with bedroom, bath , and sitting room... More

I lived there for a month or two once upon a time. Likable folks, especially the Hospitality Chief, a four legged cotton ball with enough personality for any occasion. The location is nice and the proprietors knowledgeable. The interior is done with style. Overall I like the place and would stay there again.

We only went for dinner, as we are new residents to Pocahontas county. The dinner specialties were Shrimp Scampi, or a Specialty Pork chop. We started with wine and coffee, both nice. That was followed up by the fruit and cheese platter, which consisted of blueberries, a bit of blue, smoked gouda, a gruyere (I think), a cranberry chutney and... More

We spent two nights here when we rode the greenbriar rail trail. The owners were accommodating and our rooms and bath were very clean. We ate dinner both nights in the pub and the food was good. I thought the breakfasts provided were especially good. Each morning there was some type of egg, some type of breakfast meat and either... More

We stayed 3 nights here as part of a tour of Virginia and West Virginia this summer. It has to be the prettiest setting of all the B&Bs we chose - beautiful grounds and great views. We stayed in Suite Dreams which was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we also enjoyed dinner twice - the pub is only... More

We had never stayed in a B&B, but this was a great first stay. We really enjoyed talking to the owners, who were really nice, and we loved the room and updated bathroom. We enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch each morning watching the hummingbirds. The pub was very convenient after our days out biking and sightseeing, but the... More

I have stayed at many B&B's over the years and this has been my best experience! While many places offer great location and a good breakfast, Locust Hill offers a gorgeous location, delicious breakfast, plenty of amentities on location and it is a Pub in the evening with excellent dinner. The room was awesome, with great smelling soaps and products... More

My daughter found this B&B as a place to stay as we did a cycling trip on the Greenbrier cycling trail. Service was outstanding, the full breakfast was tasty and fueled us for our cycling adventure, and the accommodations (we stayed in the cabin, separate from the main B&B) were clean and very functional. Nice places scattered around the property... More

The wife and I took an impromptu trip to Pocahontas County, West Virginia for her birthday. The first night, we camped at Summersville Lake, which was fine but she didn't sleep so well and wanted a cushy bed the following night. We had driven by Locust Hill on our way to Cass and thought it looked nice from the road.... More

Funny thing is...I'm not a B&B kind of traveler, but the Inn owners made my wife & I feel so much at home, that we cancelled our hotel reservations in another town & booked the rest of the week here. We stayed 8 nights, with every morning starting with a great breakfast, all prepared, cooked or baked fresh by Dave.... More
