This Inn was so beautiful and cozy! The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. It was walking distance to great places to eat and drink. The staff was very nice. We will definitely go there again.

My husband I enjoyed our evening and night at the unique property. Though we had never before stayed there we had eaten there three years ago when the inn was under previous ownership. What an improvement in the restaurant! I like the updated touches in the bar/sitting room. It does not feel old and musty anymore as the fresh decor... More

Haven't been here since 2013 but found that a new bar has been added to the lobby. Bartender very knowledgeable in his craft, and very personable. His lavender infused lemon drop martini is deadly smooth. Enjoyed this trip immensely. Oh, and the waiter suggested the homemade cheesecake with blueberry compote - OMG is it good! Gotta come check it out... More

Went on an impulsive getaway on the last days of winter and stayed for a few days to check this historical inn which I find interesting. It has all the firearms and tools used on the olden days displayed next to the reception and the rooms are quite interesting! No 2 rooms I think are the same. Hotel clients are... More

This place changed ownership in 2013 and it was not a positive change. The local businesses in the city of Lewisburg are largely run by a group of hipsters and unfortunately, they made their way in to this historic business and made several changes. When you walk inside, one of the first things you'll notice is a new 30" or... More

Great staff and very nice accomidations. We were able to look around and pick our own room that suited us the best. All rooms were cozy with a small private bath. Beds and furnishing are antique. Bar room very nice with fire place. Attached dinning is very good. Will stay there again.

You have to know what you want when you come to Lewisburg. It's a small West Virginia town and perfect for a weekend getaway. I live about an hour away and have been coming here for years - often just for a weekend night to get away. In fact, this Valentine's Day will be my 4th stay there since April,... More

If you love history, book a room at the General Lewis. The rooms are full of antiques. Neat as a pin. Great food. Very comfortable. A bargain. In the heart of charming Lewisburg, Full of great shops, galleries, and restaurants. This is a great place to experience a great community.

My wife and I had a super enjoyable night at General Lewis Inn. The evening receptionist - Walker - who too my reservation via telephone the day before also checked us in. Based on Trip Advsior reviews, I requested 2nd floor room. and it was fulfilled. The room was lovely. My wife loved it. Queen bed, couch, desk, tub, really... More

This hotel was where my parents stayed when they came to visited me when I was at Greenbrier Military School in the early 60's. It still has the same charm (and an alleged ghost) as it did back then, and it has maintained the integrity of history.
