We stayed here for a weekend; an interesting property in need of some TLC. We stayed in the loft suite, which has two bedrooms, one curiously was locked during the stay. You need to be careful of the headroom which is restricted in places. Note; some of the other rooms have shared bathrooms. The room was comfortable enough and the... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the Morris Harvey House. Besides the beautiful house, the best thing about the property is that it is right in downtown Fayetteville, two blocks from the center square. Bernie was very nice and made me feel at home. He also cooked up a great breakfast the next day, consisting of an omeleltte, toast and... More

Stayed in the Loft room and the beds were very comfortable and had two rooms for $180 which was good value. Bernie the owner is a great host and great to chat to over breakfast. Would also recommend Charlies Bar around the corner, no draft but great bottled beer selection. Would definitely stay when passing through again.

The accommodations are great, vintage 1902, and everything is beautiful. The Grand Suite had an incredible four-poster bed, extremely comfortable, a daybed in an alcove surrounded by windows, and two other chairs, one a rocker. Everything in the inn was spotless, including our bathroom (plenty of hot water). Breakfasts were varied, and excellent. Bernie, the owner and our host, as... More

The Morris Harvey House is a wonderful place to spend a long weekend. Even 113 years old, and something need work on, the old house is so beautiful and charming. The owner Bernie is a great host , friendly, helpful. A tip for driver to reach this B&B: GOOGLE MAP gives a wrong direction at last turn to the house... More

Let me start by saying I have mixed feelings about this B&B. Let me cut to the chase ... I will come back to this area, and I will stay here. Why? I like the innkeeper (Bernie-he is personable, kind and engaging) and I like the location (one block to the Cathedral Café [eat lunch here, browse local art or... More

We stopped here on our way to NC to spend the night. Our host was warm and friendly and our breakfast was outstanding...and he even gave me the recipe! On top of that, he made mine gluten-free and it was delicious! The town is cute but we didn't get to stay as we were traveling and eager to get to... More

We stayed here in their loft suite with our family of five in May 2015, and were quite satisfied. As with most places though it's important to know what you're getting.... it's a bed & breakfast in a beautiful but very old house. Stairs are steep and narrow, doors don't quite close right, and both stairs and floorboards squeak loudly... More

The ambience of the Morris Harvey House is a wonderful trip to another era. The overall cleanliness and attention to detail will cause to forget the worries of the outside world. The innkeeper, Bernie, is a wonderful host and is such a plus for not only the property but the entire town. Within close distance is a splendid gumbo restaurant... More

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Morris Harvey House and Bernie was an excellent host and very accommodating. The house is beautiful and has an interesting background - be sure to ask about the history.

Thanks for the great review! You're right -- we're more than 100 years old, and we definitely encourage any of our guests to give us a chance to show off our knowledge, haha! Seriously, though, we truly do appreciate this terrific feedback -- it really does mean a lot. We hope you and your wife come stay with us again... More
