My husband and I spent one night at the Inn at Pettyjohn in March. Upon check in everything was ready and the desk clerk was very helpful. We were given a room on the main floor near the end. The room itself was dated but did have a fridge, microwave and flat screen tv, wireless internet and a jetted tub... More

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for your unpleasant experience as a guest of The Inn at Pettyjohn. I appreciate the time you took to bring this matter to my attention. A clean and comfortable room is something we strive to provide every guest every day. There is no excuse our staff did not provide that in your... More

We traveled to Fairmont, WV for a half marathon in mid-November. We booked this hotel based on proximity to the race and based on the price. Based on the cost, we figured this would be your average side of the road hotel. We were wrong! We were both incredibly impressed with this hotel and look forward to staying here again... More

This is a lovely hotel in the older tradition - but it is definitely not old or run down! We like rooms that we can drive up to and park in front of and this motel has that convenience. There is a very uniquely decorated (in the style of a 19th century parlor or "house of pleasure" cozy and fun... More

Last year we saw the renovated "Inn at Petty John," while eating at a local restaurant and thought it would be worth a try the next time we came through. We had a chance to spend the night here this past weekend and had a nice stay While not right off the interstate, the inn is centrally located in Fairmont... More

"The Inn at Pettyjohn," which was formerly a Travelodge and before that the seedy Colonial Motel in Fairmont, has done an about-face and is now worth your visit. Don't be put off by the old-school website and need to call to make reservations - it gives the chain motels along I-79 a run for the money. It's surprisingly nice. The... More

All chains were sold out on the highway but glad the gps found this. Good rate and clean room. Heat was very loud. Ddecor was new but looked dated. Pool looked looked nice but it was march. We ended up with two rooms which was a but of a luxury traveling with older kids

Stayed at what is now called "The Inn at Petty John" for 3 nights in August 2012. This place was "remodeled" about 4 years ago, but to be honest it's not much better than the former Fairmont Motor Lodge which I have stayed in many times over the years. The wall unit a/c was loud and never stopped running unless... More

I had heard of the renovations and thought I would try this site since I am in the Fairmont area frequently on business. I will not stay again; am actually ill since my stay. The room was noisy and cold water was all that was available for showering. The breakfast was hot drinks and stale Sara Lee pastries. There was... More

My ex wife and I stayed for two nights in separate rooms while in Fairmont meeting our brand new three day old grand daughter for the very first time. We were traveling with a small group of friends around WV when we came across the Travelodge Fairmont. It was newly renovated with large reasonably priced rooms with comfortable Queen sized beds in the one that we chose. I understand that they also have rooms with whirlpool baths. It has a small breakfast and is conveniently located on highway 250... More
