This hotel is more like a motel out of a bad movie. While the eastern European co-owner has a certain charm, this does not make up for awful bedding (mattress felt like a mix between a lumpy sack of potatoes and a semi-deflated air mattress & the sheets where the super-polyester kind that has you feeling like your body is... Nothing fancy, but great value at $55 a night. Wonderful bed, clean room, plenty of hot water with lots of pressure, good coffee, and very pleasant staff. No complaints at all. If you are looking for a good night sleep in an area with great attractions, I can highly suggest this motel.

Very large, clean, and comfortable rooms. Best value for price. Flat screen, small microwave, small refrigerator, perfectly working heating/ac, and coffee maker in room. Exceeded my expectation, and the owner is every bit what others have stated..."gracious host", "welcoming", knowledgeable, and kind. Clearly the owner's are upgrading all the key essentials and comfort creatures. New carpeting, Sealey mattress, linens, covering,... More

Convenient motel on the route of our scenic byway leaf peeping tour, but quiet, too. Within walking distance of a great restaurant, Deerfield Pub. Bed was comfortable and room was fine. Warm and cosy, and hotel staff were helpful and friendly.

The gracious spirit of the host, Jana, sets this motel apart. Clean, good beds, and helpfulness. New TVs. Quiet motel. Restaurants in the area are not great, but, hey, you're here for the outdoors! Give it a four and a half!

After reading some reviews I was a bit dubious, but this place was a delight. Owners were very helpful, the room was very clean, the beds were new, very comfortable, new bedding, flat screen tv. Very quiet. We ate at Siriannis just across the way, wonderful food. Program your sat nav to Davis and Cannan Village Inn is approximately 7... More

We're not picky. And after reading other's reviews, I almost feel like I must have stayed at the wrong place. We visited over the 4th of July holiday, and left a night early for multiple reasons, not just because of the motel room. There is no directory or welcome package or phone in the rooms, so I took a walk... More

We had a great experience at the Canaan Village Inn. There were 36 of us who rode on an overnight to Seneca Rocks, which is just down the road. The host and her team could not have been more friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They even went out of their way to prepare a bonfire outback with... More

We tried to stay at Canaan Village Inn for Valentine's Day weekend this winter but needed to stop early due to the driving conditions prior to our arrival. On our 2nd trip to this area, we thought we would try again and wow! are we thankful to have found this gem. The staff made us feel like we were visiting... More

Reasonably priced property with minimal amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No phones, but I had good cell reception so it wasn't an issue. No clock in room, but you'll have your smart phone right? Two restaurants and a small store within a half mile.
