We stayed at this hotel this same weekend last year and had a great expereince. However, when we stayed there again on 9/27 we had an entirely different experience. The rooms were the same as we experienced last year. They were clean and provide base level accomodations which is all that we expected for the price. However, at a little... More

My wife and I took a trip from Northern Virginia to visit Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, and Seneca Rocks. When looking for a hotel I came across Alpine Lodge. I called and left a message. My call was returned the next day and I made a reservation for arrival the following day. After speaking with my wife, we called and... More

Clean, comfortable beds, and the restaurant had delicious home cooked comfort food. Really an excellent value compared to other local lodging. It was only minutes away from Black Water Falls and maybe 10 miles or so from Canaan Valley.

Doesn't look like much from the outside. Showers are wonderful. Super hard pressure and plenty of HOT water. Sawmill restaurant, same senero, don't be so quick to judge. Salad bar isn't much. I got the west Virginia ham and it was fantastic (beans were ok). Overall, super good value for your $$$.

Clean rooms, could use some updates. It smelled a little musty. The reason for my stay was to visit with my family, so I really was only in there to sleep. Price wise was perfect, better than staying out at the lake. The food at the restaurant is wonderful, all homemade. I recommend the biscuits and gravy.

Went on a weekend fishing getaway and chose to stay at the alpine lodge, best decision we made all weekend. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Its not the hilton but if you are staying in Davis that's not what you are looking for anyway.I think it will be a regular destination for us from now on.

Went on a day drive to Davis and Thomas and decided to stay due to the road conditions. The Blackwater Lodge was sold out and they give us a list of hotels to check. So, we stopped at the Alpine, we asked to see the room before we decided to stay. The room was horrible and that is a nice... More

Have stayed here several times in the past two years and found the rooms to be clean and the staff friendly. I come for the experience of the mountains and family fun; not to stay in the room all day, so the location of the hotel is more important than how modern the furnishing are. The new owners, a small... More

Stayed here recently won a family outing. We stayed in a triple bed room (We have 3 kids). The room wasn't fancy but it was clean and very much like home. The hotel parking lot seemed to be full but we didn't hear any noise from the other rooms. The owner allowed us to have a late check out without... More

First of all, I want to say that our room was clean. I would not stay here again. When we pulled into the parking lot I thought we were in the wrong place. It looked old, dilapidated and abandoned. The boards in the hallway to our rooms felt like they were going to give way underneath of us. Nothing about... More

Dear Travelor, We deeply regret your experience at the Alpine Lodge did not meet your expectations! My husband & I purchased this property about a year ago and have been dedicated to making improvements. Our first priorities have been: clean, decent, safe, affordable and comfortable. We hope you will try us again next year once we complete the cosmetic improvements. More
