We stayed at the Grand hotel at Mountaineer on 8/12/2014. We were put in the "Lodge " area .It was the worst room we have ever stayed in.. The wallpaper was peeling and the table legs were litterly falling off. The room was clean enough and the beds were Ok, but the T.V. was old. We have stayed in the... More

We stayed in the towers in a newly remodeled room, beautiful!!! Super clean & nice, big too!!! We were on the first floor which makes going to the pool convenient. We ate at The Gatsby which was very good & had pizza at Big Al's that also was quite good. We didnt win any money, but you have to know... More

Every year I host a trip to a casino hotel resort. This was our 1st time at the Mountaineer. Very clean, quiet and newly renovated. My group Loved it. Beds were comfortable, but a little too soft for me. All in All we had a Great time. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Mountaineer Hotel in a king tower room (comped) and it was very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. We will back back again.

The Hotel has recently been renovated. They are still working on reservations and as I write this I believe they are finished with the Grande Hotel and are now working on the Lodge rooms. We stayed for one night comped (Thanks Mountaineer!) and although I have stayed at the hotel many times before, this was the first time in a... More

Tommy, Thank you for posting and for the positive review. We are not quite finished with room remodel in the tower. We have one floor to go but should be finished by the end of August and then move onto the lodge. You stayed in one of the rooms where we replaced the tub with a shower but most of... More

We stayed at the Moutaineer Hotel in one of the tower rooms. Our stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and the king size bed was comfortable. The gaming floor had a lot of fun games. We ate in just about all the restaurants there and were very happy with the food and service. The pool was a... More

We are from the Akron-Canton area and do have several casino/racino's closer to home we could frequent, and have been to them all. But we just don't like any including Wheeling Island which is about the same distance for us to travel, better than Mountaineer. The rooms are always clean, the food is always very good, including the $3.00 lobster... More

This was my second time at the casino, first time staying and the finances stayed multiple times. Very disappointed, from the rooms rates not what they were listed online to the smoke filled non-smoking room to the cold breakfast the next morning. $189 for a room, in the "old part, that was a dump especially when advertised for $125 on... I have stayed here many times. I have gotten non smoking rooms. I always smell smoke in my room. It even comes in from outside. Ever hall is smoke smelling. You need a whole floor of non smoking. The rooms are staggered and it goes into all the rooms. I have asthma attacks everytime I am there. It stinks because... More

We certainly appreciate you taking the time to post. We do have both smoking and non-smoking floors in the hotel tower. The lodge it is a little more difficult as there are only two true levels to that building. We are starting hotel renovations next month and will be reevaluating the number of smoking versus non-smoking rooms so that it... More
