The room was a little aged but very well kept and maintained!!!!! Smelled wonderful when we walked in, and it was CLEAN!!!!! I was very impressed!!!! No problems at all and no complaints!!!!!! And didn't put a dent in our wallet! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Excellent price with aarp discount. Clean, comfortable, nice bed linens, thin towels. The room on the river side was quiet. This motel was a great value, and whatever it is lacking in decor or fluffy towels was worth the low price.

Checked reviews and decided to stay for two nights. It's a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. We asked housekeeping for clean towels and she did an excellent job cleaning the room while we were out. Maybe a little noisy being along the freeway but the price and service make up for it.

Spent an overnight & picked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. Getting to and from the site is a bit inconvenient. But a room n the riverside is very nice. I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the room. Very comfortable and homey. Did not partake of the restaurant next door, but it looked inviting. Would recommend... More

A good place to sleep and shower. The tv and heat worked well a fridge was in our room good water pressure in the shower too. That's all we needed and a value for our needs. Close to downtown Charleston and only an exit away from national brands of restaurants.

Some places claim newly remodeled but disappoint. This roadside inn truly was redone and refurbished. My only criticism had to do with being told that all the Riverview rooms were booked only to see late in the evening only a couple of cars parked on that side. You want that side of the hotel for 2 reasons, the pretty view... More

Looked on trip review. Found this place. Reviews were good. Called, talked to Penny, she was very professional. She verbally held a room til we arrived. We Inspected room to decide. Room was quaint. Vintage vibe. Very clean, smelled good. Decided to take room for two nights. $49.99 was the daily rate. $56.19 with tax. Also met Kathy, the house... More

Comfortable, clean accommodation for one night in late March on way to Myrtle Beach ... just about an hour before the Blue Ridge Mountains the following morning. A simple little roadhouse right next door to grab an evening bite to eat. Would do both again on the next time through to MB.

Got there late and manager was fast and kind in getting us a room. Woke up to a great view of the mountains and the river. Nice quiet location and clean room. Will stay again! Right off highway past capital

Heading up I-77 with the family and needed to stop for sleep. Budget host was convenient to the highway, very clean, good beds, hot water. No complaints -- excellent value. Would recommend without hesitation.
