We stayed here for work purposes due to my husbands job, but we were also pretty much at the expensive mercy of the front desk staff I.E. (The manager). Upon arrival our transmission in our vehicle went out and we had to have it towed to be fixed. To make a long story short, we had a small dog, and... more

The Ramada is located in a neighborhood setting and is next door to the Wingate. I did not feel that my car was safe in the parking lot and I took the time to leave no valuables in it. The hotel has posted many signs in the parking lot stating it is not responsible for damages. Due to the neighborhood... more

The hotel is undergoing renovations. Dust is everywhere. Restaurant is more of a lounge that serves food. Front desk and managerial staff was wonderful and went out of their way to see that we had everything we needed. Finally, once the renovation is complete I'd be willing to return. more

Good place to stay, but the staff makes it a great place to stay. Beds are good pillows could be better. But over all a great place to stay. more

Management and staff went out of their way to make my crew feel welcome. This is the kind of service we look for but seldom see. Close, convenient and clean gives it an "A" in my book. (I would say cheap too, but inexpensive would be a better choice of words) more

I stayed at this hotel because the Wingate hotel (which is next-door) had overbooked their rooms and did not have a room for me. While I was glad that the Ramada took me in, I was disappointed in this hotel on multiple levels and will not be back. Due to confusion between the Wingate and the Ramada clerks, it took... more

I have been staying at this hotel for years as I travel on business and would not consider staying anywhere else. The location is great for anyone that would have business in downtown Charleston which is just across the Kanahwa River. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled. The beds are new and very comfortable. The staff are always friendly.... more

This hotel is located in the industrial armpit of Charleston. On our way to our room we passed some hoodrats in the hallway and in the elevator we noticed an empty beer bottle on the floor. Our room smelled bad, there was a huge stain on the carpeting and the arm chair had a big rip in it. We were... more

The front desk wasn't friendly at all. Checking in and checking out felt like an inconvience for them. My room was missing the room service menu so I had to go down and find one. The hotel is undergoing some renovations. My room was nice. The wireless was good. It's in an industrial area, away from the town. Didn't feel... more
