We stayed in two rooms, one smelled musty. The bathrooms are small. The rooms are clean, though. There is only one elevator in the hotel, which is nine stories. Breakfast was pretty good. It was worth the money but we got a good deal ($46/room on priceline).

We received an excellent price by way of the internet which made our 10 days affordable, but we had many problems. No bath towels one day, no hand towels, washcloths or bath rug another day, no coffee one day, no coffee cups or water glasses several day. Plus the bathroom drain was never cleaned. The phone did not work so... More

Very clean with a comfy bed. Only one slow elevator so this is a problem at busy times and if it breaks. Kind of noisy too depending on the room don't forget earplugs. It was at capacity when we stayed there and the brekfast area was not prepared for the rush in the morning. Parking lot was so-so but free... More

A colleague booked the Best Western for us for a conference held in Charleston. After reading reviews here, I was concerned about the condition of the hotel, cleanliness, and safety of parking. My philosophy is, 'when in doubt, go directly to the source.' I called the prior to our arrival and spoke with Jesse (Jessica?) regarding the reviews I read... More

The hotel was easy to find and in a very convenient location. The hotel is close and in walking distance to shopping and dining. There is a Rite Aid pharmacy located about two blocks from the hotel and the Clay Center is right accross the street. My family and I walked around Charleston a little and even found ourselves walking... More

This hotel situated on the edge of a shady section of downtown Charleston in my opinion, looked like they attempted to upgrade, but fell short. Although the bedrooms looked to be upgrades, our bathroom was small, dark, and very dirty. There was a French fry between our beds, and a penny near the wall... Neither were touched or disposed of,... More

On a recent visit to Charleston, we stayed at the Best Western. It was right across from the Clay Center and a couple blocks from Capitol Market and Capitol Street, maybe 2 miles from the Capitol building. The $80 a night rate included an extensive breakfast and a nice room. Only complaints were the grunge in the corners of the... More

Good stay, good location, great people. Management was very helpful to our group tired from driving in from MA, and very accommodating. Room was very nice, clean, well-kept, nothing broken or sketchy-looking. Room service was professional. Hotel is not far from the nicest part of town, either, where they have brick sidewalks and all the little shops that make a... More
