I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of June. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very helpful. My son and I enjoyed the free breakfast and nightly manager's reception. The bartenders were very quick and friendly. The only complaint I'd have is that the pool seemed to have a LOT of chlorine.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites on the weekend of 6/15, and were pleasantly surprised with the entire hotel. Typically, older hotels in downtown districts seem to be outdated, below average in cleanliness (my standard may be different from others...), and the rooms are usually small. This Embassy Suites location was clean, with an open atmosphere - and large standard... More

I stayed at the Charleston, WV Embassy Suites for a conference. The hotel was terrific. A beautiful indoor courtyard with waterfall and canals, high ceiling with daylight coming through the glass roof, was very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was great, and they even cooked the bacon till it was crispy. Omelets made to order are great. Staff was very helpful.... More

Used our honors points for a discounted night on road trip. Pretty quite hotel but was a week night. All staff we came into contact with was very friendly & helpful. Security guard is there at night which could be helpful. Gym on site has nice up to date equipment. Breakfast was standard for this chain which is good &... More

Came to Charleston for an appointment, checked in the hotel arond 12:30pm, which was an early check in and there was a room available, which was great. The associate at check in spoke like a robot. There was no personal greeting, NO SMILE, and seemed as though she had a bad day. Not very inviting. Otherwise, my stay was great.... More

The staff (from the front desk to the housekeepers) was incredibly helpful and sensitive. They were our friends while we were there. Butch Robinson was most wonderful in every way - making us feel welcome, helping with bags, giving directions to the funeral home, suggesting restaurants, and he is one very special person - maybe he is really an angel!

The room was clean and quiet, and the amenities were of good quality. The parking was expensive and difficult to get the key reader to work, but all parking in Charleston is expensive, so that is not a real draw-back, just a fact.

I was a guest at the Embassy Suites in Charleston, WV on a Friday night this past May. After several hours on the road, I arrived at the hotel in Charleston around 11 PM to check in. I was pleased to receive a Hilton Honors upgrade from the front desk staff to a hospitality suite. The hotel was at capacity,... More

Very impressive property. From the majestic interior with 9 floor atrium with inside facing hallways on every floor, to the very comfortable suites. Staff are excellent, and there is even a managers reception every day from 530-730 with free booze. Money saver there. Great location in the heart of the city. Only problem for me was the $10/day charge for... More

this hotel is a old building. It's well located in downtown Charleston next to the Mall. We are a family with kids. So we booked a two double suite. The beds are small and too soft. It tells the age of this hotel. The manager's welcome reception was good since we arrived on Sunday there was not many guests. But... More
