I rented # 249 a premium company 2 story house for me, my son and his family. This was much more than we expected when we walked in the back door. WOW! With 5 year old triplet granddaughters and another granddaughter 6, and then my grandson who is 16 it is hard to get motel rooms that work for the... More

Stayed at Cass on Saturday night and took the family on the train ride Sunday. The trees were beautiful. Staff was good. Food in the depot was average but prices high. Seats on train not very comfy...even for short ride. But my baby had an extra special day!! So our day was awesome. Highly recommend this to every family.

Took family to ride the train at Cass Mtn and had a ball! The scenery was nice and the train ride very enjoyable. Make sure you get there when the train pulls into the station as they board you right away. We had a full train with some people having to stand for hours. Everyone was so nice. If you... More

Trains were superb. Unless your a railfan or want to see the scenery recommend the 2 hr ride. In fact the best time we had was the 9:45 shop tour which was free!!!! Not only did we get to see the shops, but all the trains we waking up, shuttling cars about and generally having a wonderful time. The most... More

We are a family of five, including three kids ages 7 to 14. We stayed here for two nights while touring the park and visiting the radio telescope. When thinking of a company house built for workers, I expected it to be small. It is actually quite large, with an nearly open floor plan on the first floor, many windows,... More

My husband and I took 3 of our grandchildren (a 10-year old and two 6-year olds) to Cass to ride the train up the mountain and spend 2 nights in one of the company houses. It was a wonderful experience. We arrived on Monday afternoon (6-24-13) and were able to check into our company house with no problem. I had... More

I would like to inform you about one of your employees. I beleive his name was Henry. He was working security June 26th at 9pm. I had a family emergency and couldnt reach any of the other park officials being that it was 9pm, my mom and dad were staying in one of the company houses. He took my call... More

I had been to Cass before, but never stayed in the company houses. Ours (225) reminded me of my grandparents home which they bought in 1937 as the three bedrooms were stuffed with beds and little else. At least one didn't have a closet which is normal for the period. They have been upgraded with modern appliances, but not even... More

Spent a Monday night, the house was great, everything updated but still time period, see pictures below. Roasted marshmallows over grill in yard, had swing on porch. TV, but only turned on to put granddaughter to sleep. Sat outside, it is dark with lights out. Very few houses rented this night and only and I mean only noise as crickets,... More

Traveling the back roads home came upon the Cass Railroad. Interesting historical site of times gone by. Stop, get out, walk around...it's worth it! Not sure if housing is seasonal, best to check in advance if you want to stay in the village housing. Only checked "average" on ratings because of lack of knowledge. We didn't stay overnight.
