The best last-minute decision we ever made! After driving to Seneca Rocks for a quick getaway trip, we had nowhere to stay. We called Carol and she was so accomodating - we got the last room available (North Fork Mountain Room) and she even held dinners for us! We were amazed by the beauty, solitude, hospitality, FOOD, and calming atmosphere... more

The owners, Carol and Ed Fischer, were the best hosts of their lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed two weeks where we hiked, biked, golfed and relaxed in the fresh West Virginia mountain air. Carol and Ed fed us a delicious breakfast every morning. They also served us a variety of dinners from their kitchen. My favorite was a seafood... more

My husband and I spent two very relaxing days at the North Fork Mountain Inn. We felt very welcomed from the time we walked though the door. The owner is a gourmet cook and a sommelier, and the food was excellent. I will never forget the wonderful french toast and delicious chicken marsala. The inn is tastefully decorated in a... more

Our extended family met here in late April, and were pleased with the Inn, service and food. Carol and Ed understand fine service without being overbearing, and accomodated our family gathering for a memorial service. The Inn is rustic and elegant in its simplicity; the rooms had remarkable views, and except for some odd configurations in which the bathroom wasn't... more

My wife and I agreed that North Fork Mountain Inn was the best bed and breakfast at which we've stayed the last several years. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights in the Cave Mountain Room. Its secluded location in the West Virginia mountains makes it an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are ample... more

The North Fork Mountain Inn is a real find. The rooms are terrific, the views and location fantastic, and hospitality super. Ed and Carol provide a wonderful setting, but don't overly 'hover.' Dinner and breakfast are delicious, and everything is impeccably clean. The hiking/walking in the area is unbeatable, so far as the East goes. Highly recommended! more

17 of us stayed at the North Fork Mountain Inn for an annual spring canoeing weekend. The view from the front porch and all of the bedrooms was spectacular, the inn was lovely and comfortable, Carol and Ed were incredibly accommodating to our group, and both breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The hot tub on the deck was a great... more

My wife and I saw the other reviews on TripAdvisor and booked three nights in the Potomac Suite. Firstly, the hosts, Ed and Carol, are gracious and friendly and made us feel welcome. The best part of our stay was, hands down, the food. Ed and Carol prepared gourmet meals and the chocolate souffle for dessert was wonderful! The suite... more

We stayed in "The North Fork Mtn." room #1 inside the Inn. It was very neat and the bed was very comfortable. It was our first expirence at a B&B. We would like to try the cabin suites or the cabin next time we stay. The food was great (crab cakes). The location is awesome if you are a hiker... more

My girlfriend and stayed at the North Fork Mountain Inn for two days over the New Year's holiday. I travel for work and have become jaded with the hotel experience, but this was a singular and memorable stay. We rented the separate-standing Potomac cabin - brand new with amenities rivaling a five star hotel. The food, cooked by the owners,... more
