This is the first B&B I have ever had to leave. When we arrived, the owner showed us around the property. The pond was overgrown and there was no good walking path to the creek--rather muddy on the day we were there.

We went into the house -- immediately it smelled of cigarettes and a moldy smell. We were shown upstairs, which looked like the owner was just renting a room in her house with nothing special. We didn't unpack because we were going back into town. We felt very awkard because this had never happened to us before, so we discussed whether we could stay or not because we are allergic to smoke and mold. So, we called the owner and told her we couldn't stay because we are allergic to smoke and mold. She said she couldn't refund our deposit because she had already spent it.

Also, the Christmas Tree part of her website is a joke. From the part we could see, it was all overgrown.

We went with another couple, so the set up worked perfectly for us in terms of hanging out in the common room, then retreating to our private spaces. It definitely promotes a communal atmosphere, so keep that in mind if that is/isn't what you're looking for.

The rooms themselves are cute and cozily decorated, with lots of extra blankets, which came in VERY handy. From what...
