Cacapon is one of WV's beautiful State Parks. Rooms at the lodge are small, but very clean and comfortable. We booked too late to reserve one of their cabins for the weekend. Staff (especially Angie) was exceptional in every way, including suggestions and reserving tables for accommodating our group of 14 for a family birthday gathering. In addition to our... More

Just got back after 2 nights here in the Lodge, must say, we enjoyed it Very Much! Extra Small Rooms, but had everything we needed! The Lodge is perfect for couples, families, groups. We would go back again and take the whole family with us. It was a perfect out of the way place if you need to get away... More

My husband, adult son and I packed up the dog and checked into a log cabin at Cacapon Resort State Park for the weekend. This is a truly gorgeous park with nice facilities like a little lake beach, a golf course, tennis courts and many hiking trails, and it's just two hours from D.C. The CCC-built cabin had two small... More

As a native West Virginian I have to say I am quite proud of our amazing state parks and make a point of staying at their lodges while vacationing. Since my family and I were en route to Philadelphia to catch a flight, we thought we'd spend one of our nights at the lodge at Cacapon. We chose a mountain... More

Stayed at the lodge as most of the other hotels in town had not received very good reviews. Even though a holiday, the staff were available and receptive to my questions about the park. The lodge has a rustic look and the rooms showed the same without any recent updates except for a flat screen TV. No fridge or microwave,... More

Husband, 8yo son and I had a room with a queen bed and a single. Room was VERY small but clean. However, on this June weekend, we paid about $90/night - not worth the price. Staff was very nice and checked us in and out quickly and helped all weekend. The cleaning staff was very nice and thorough. The lodge... More

At $61/night, you don't expect much. Well, this place was fantastic! The lodge room was not large, but had plenty of room for two people. Our room had two double beds, a very small table with two chairs, a dresser, TV, and ample-sized bathroom. Beds were comfortable, the room was dark and quiet for sleeping, and the entire room was... This was our 2nd visit here, it won't be our last. Have stayed at both the lodge and in one of the cabins, enjoyed both. Very resaonable prices, friendly staff, good golf course.

This is a great and relativley unknown lodge in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. It is abot 6 mile sor so south of Berkeley Springs, and about 25 miles or so northwest of Winchester VA. Nestled in a quiet state park well off the main road the state park offers golf, hiking, horseback riding, trap shooting as well as... More
