We have been visiting the Highlawn Inn for about 20 years, for special occasions & just for a relaxing getaway. We just returned from 2 nights there for my birthday. We have visited a lot of bed & breakfasts, but this is the only one we have returned to so many times. It is set in a beautiful area in... More

We stayed here for a long weekend with friends. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing. The B&B is beautifully decorated and has an interesting history. It was conveniently located for downtown shops and dining. There is a nice porch with comfy chairs to sit out on. The owner and her friend were most hospitable and friendly.... More

Highlawn Inn sits high above Berkeley Springs and has a wonderful history. An owner, Sandy Kauffman is inspirational with her vivid storytelling of the Inn's history and the time she and her partner Tim Miller have spent researching, renovating and making the Inn what it is today. Breakfast is superb! The rooms are clean and nicely decorated- as is the... More

This is the most extraordinary Victorian inn. The accommodations are just beautiful, relaxing and sentimental. Breakfast is so delicious with Sandy's special ingredients....can't wait to come back again!!!!!!! Everything exceeded my expectations....thanks Barbara for taking care of the Carriage House...

We have been visiting Highlawn Inn for over 20 years....with a move to South Carolina in 2005, we sorely missed Sandy's fine touch of elegance in Berkeley Springs so we decided to drive for a few days of rest and relaxation. The Victorian inn and lush gardens were in full spring mode, but nothing compares to the personalized service of... More

We stayed recently at the Highlawn Inn for a weekend of pampering and spas after skiing. Overall, the stay was wonderful. The room was large and clean, comfortable, and warm. We really enjoyed the separate room that had our private jacuzzi tub! The Inn uses the water from the famous Berkeley Springs, and we made good use of that in... More

We are glad that these guests enjoyed our most requested guest room and when talking to them seemed to enjoy their stay. We are disappointed that they did not let us know of their concerns and given us a chance to fix the problem. We checked our buffet heating elements and did not find any problems. As far as the... On MLK weekend, I had to get out of hectic DC for a brief trip. I found Highlawn Inn on Trip Advisor and it surpassed my expectations. Sandy, the Inn owner and Barb her assistant made it feel like I was at home. The Inn is decorated in high Victorian style with Eastlake antiques, Boyd's bears, and big fireplace with... More

The girlfriend and I needed a peaceful weekend getaway. We got exactly that! Highlawn is exactly what a bed and breakfast should be. The location is perfect and you can walk to most sights in town. We stayed in The Herb Garden Nook and the room was cozy, the soft mattress bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've slept... More

My wife and I stayed here earlier this week. Sandy and her staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. Our room was extremely clean and well-kept: the only "sour note" on our trip was that both my wife and I found the bed in our room to be too soft and lumpy for our taste. But, hey, perhaps that's just... More

My wife and I decided to return to Berkley Springs WV; A place that held fond, romantic memories of 30 years ago. Instead of the commercial hotels, although they were very nice, we went the B&B route for a change. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated with literally hundreds of tiny little details that set it apart from your run... More
