This hotel used to be a Red Lion and a Clarion, it has the old and worn out furnishings, carpets, drapes, and paint, and all rooms don't have flat screen TV's. It definitely needs upgrading on both interior and exterior. Some AC units are too noisy, some fridges don't get cold enough.

Thank you for leaving this helpful review to point out the places where we can improve. You may have noticed during your stay that we've been doing a lot of landscaping outside. The process is slow but we will be working our way inward. Try us again soon, enjoy the Laugh Lounge Comedy Club and take advantage of our complimentary... More

Spent two days mid week, very quiet, few guests. They offer a small dinner buffet, chicken, potatoes, veggies and a odd salad bar. It was okay, if you're not too picky and don't want to leave the building. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. For the price, it's a decent place to stay. It was clean. It is under new management,... More

this hotel has the possibility of being an affordable destination hotel in Yakima. looks like some upgrading has been done, however the workmanship is horrific. Our air conditioning did not work in 107 temp. They fixed almost immediately with another ancient unit that worked. we were there for a conference so large amount of people eating at one time, they... More

Thank you for reviewing the Yakima Valley Hotel & Conference Center. It was our pleasure to have you here. Updating the property is an ongoing process that our new ownership just recently started in November of 2013. We appreciate your feedback and welcome your advice on how to make this business of greater value to our customers. We are always... More

I was there with my son's baseball team. The free breakfast and dinner was perfect! All we wanted to think about was baseball, it was nice to have meals covered. Not gourmet but hearty enough to fill you up. Clean and spacious rooms, lots of TV channels, 2 clean pools, staff was friendly.

While the motel needs a lot of updating in areas, we found our room clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. If you expect a full meal it might be best to go somewhere else. As far as a free beakfast , its about the normal fare. Never ate supper there so unable to say. I... More

The hotel was excellent in terms of customer service, clean and friendly. Very helpful front desk and housekeeping. My only sideways comment is the use of plastic and paper in the coffee shop. I prefer the feel and texture of glass and stainless flatwares.

Thank you for staying with us, we really appreciate the time you took to review our hotel. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. And yes, we usually do use real plates and silverware instead of plastic. The only exception to that is when the hotel is booked full we used paper and plastic to keep up with... More

THE GOOD: Easy check in. Lots of free parking. Nice breakfast. Convenient. THE BAD: Filthy carpet-I kept my socks on the whole time. Terrible housekeeping- found the counters still sticky with some kind of red syrup; needs updating Try the Best Western across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful and my room(s) clean. This establishment does not keep the air conditioning on and maintain a comfort level within the room. Thank you for your review. It's good to hear that our staff was friendly and rooms were clean, however I'm so sorry to hear about the AC not working. I've stayed at this establishment for almost a week, once a year, for eight years. I have now decided never to stay there again as it has declined. Last year was bad but I decided to give it one more year since they, apparently, changed ownership. Specific reasons: 1) When I first arrived for my five night stay decided to... More
