Pros – Wireless Internet access was convenient. Pool was nice and clean and was very enjoyable on a very hot day. There was a wide variety of breakfast items that was included in the rate. The main part of the town of Winthrop was a short drive away. It is built up as a country town in the early 1900’s.... more

I stayed at this same motel back in 1998, when it was a Best Western, and back then, it was an okay motel. There isn't a lot to choose in Winthrop, unless you want to spend $250+. This stay the rooms had deterioated and look like they hadn't been updated since I last stayed there. Room smelled musty, most liekly... more

Stayed one night that Am. Best Value. From the name I didn't expect much. I had never been the Winthrop or the area before. At first we missed the hotel driving by, its non descript. We arrived in the afternoon, the hotel staff was friendly. Our room was on the second floor, there is no elevator, but the stairs are... more

Let me first say that the room was very clean and the staff was courteous. We arrived late on the first night of our trip; the staff was quick to get us into our room. The room was spacious, and the decor was that of a hotel in the 80's. Our bed was short sheeted, and quite hard. The "satellite"... more

We stayed at this motel just one night (road trip) and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were adequate in size but quite clean. The balcony overlooking a field and the river was very nice. The next morning we got to watch a hot air balloon be inflated and take off from the field - very pretty. The staff was friendly... more

Good place to stay. Rooms are clean and have refrigerators and microwaves. Bathrooms clean. Hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. The price was a little high though for rather basic accomodations. Also, you can hear dripping water during the night from a roof gutter drain that ends about 2 feet above the pavement. more

Clean room, the usual towelry and appurtanances. The fan on the air conditioner was a bit loud. It has a pool and sauna that we didn't use but they appeared ship-shape. We were lucky to get the last room for the night, it was the last non-smoking room available in town. more

Stayed at the Cascade Inn over 13/14 August 2003. Whilst not exceptional the motel provided all that we required including a welcoming swimming pool after a long day's drive. Getting into the excellent town of Winthrop, about a mile away, was not problem. As well as the Pearrygin Lake State Park. If it is on your way drop in, but... more
