The Winthrop Inn is our motel of choice, we used to live in the valley and still have family there. We always stay at the Winthrop Inn when just the 2 of us go. Clean, great people, hot air ballons great walk along the river, great place to run and walk the dog. more

We stayed there one night and we were really disappointed. The manager/owner charged us high season rates and it was mid October. He said that because he was almost booked up (due to the start of hunting season) that he wasn't able to offer us a discount. Our biggest complaint was that the walls were so thin that we could... more

We picked The Winthrop Inn out of our AAA Tour book sight unseen. We loved it from the moment we pulled up to the office. The owners are professional, friendly, helpful and exgtremely knowledable. There's over 4 acres of property to explore and a river that backs up to the property. They have picnic tables, fire pits and a BBQ... more

Were here for 2 nights for a Thanksgiving getaway weekend. We picked it because they accepted dogs and it was very important to us to bring her along since we'd recently boarded her for two weeks. You can bring a dog so long as you don't keep the pet inside without supervision which was acceptable--we just left her in the... more

As other reviewers have said, it's a nice, clean hotel. Not the Ritz by any stretch, but comfortable. Some highlights: - The front desk woman (the manager or owner?) was super friendly and helpful - A fridge and microwave in the room - Close to downtown Winthrop (may be a little far to walk depending on your energy level) more

(It's not a b&b, it's a motel.) Nice place to stay for a night. Very clean and updated. Refreshing pool. Propane grills, and wireless internet. We had a room in the back, with a verandah. It was nice to look over the expansive lawn, down towards the river. Take a walk to the river. There is a nice picnic area... more

We stayed here on our yourney from Seattle to Canada. It's a nice place to spend a night, but not for more. Good when you're travelling through. Nice people. Simple breakfast (tea, coffee and muffins). Nice view from our room. And nice lawn to sit and enjoy your coffee. Withrop is a nice little town to visit for one evening.... more

My boyfriend and I drove out to Winthrop over the weekend to attend a wedding. We booked a room at the Winthrop Inn because it was affordable and pet friendly. When I called to reserve a room, the owner was very helpful and friendly. He even recommended a place called Rovers Ranch where I could leave my dogs while we... more
