The Winthrop inn is one of the less expensive places to stay just outside of downtown Winthrop. The hotel staff is exceptional! The rooms are clean, large and have refrigerators. We thought the beds were more comfortable than most also (we prefer softer beds). This is a budget motel however so it is not fancy. Probably due to the location... More

We were here on 10/31/13 and we came across this hotel. It was a great place to stay. Comfortable beds, wifi, hot tub and pool. We enjoyed the cleanliness and warmth of this place. Staff was very friendly and we had homemade scones with hot coffee for breakfast. We would definitely stay her again!

Great Place to Spend the Night. Be rested for the 2nd half of your weekend Journey. Enjoy a Good Dinner at one of several Rustic eating places near by. Don't for get your Cameras, so many Fall Colors. Next time I plan to spend 2 nights, an extra day for hike in the area.

We were looking for a pet-friendly motel near the Cascades when we stopped here in September. We liked the Winthrop Inn so much that we ended up staying here for three nights. Our room was on the second floor with a nice balcony overlooking the launch area for a local hot air balloon ride, and we really enjoyed watching them... More

One night stay, very warm welcome...including a tasting of the breakfast scone fresh from the oven! Very nice. The room was exceptonaly clean a good size. Fridge not switched on so had to wait for that to chill. Microwave in room. Shower was small but very clean. No coffee machine in room and needed to go to reception to get... More

We chose this motel because they were pet friendly. The host was nice, and the rooms were clean but dated, but the beds were HORRIBLE. My husband and I both had a bad night because our backs hurt all night. The coffee and the scones were good. The nice surprise was a hot air balloon taking off behind the motel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Winthrop Inn. Everything from the grounds, the pool, to the rooms were absolutely immaculate. There were plenty of well manicured, grassy areas with lawn chairs to sit out on and enjoy the outdoors. The property is large and goes right down to the river. You can walk to town (about 25 minutes) on a... More

We were looking for a nice place with wifi and a hot tub... and that's exactly what was on their sign so we pulled in on July 30, 2013! The lady at the front desk was nice and the room was clean. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was great after a long day on the motorcycle. When... More

We had such a great one-night visit (and wish we would have had time to stay longer). Thanks Winthrop Inn for a comfy and fun stay! The management/staff are terrific, and very friendly! Our room was clean, with a microwave and a frig, and even offered an extra blanket and pillow on the shelf if we needed it. Though we... More
