My husband and I did a bike trip last weekend and at the last minute had to book about 8 kms out of town as everything had already booked up for the long weekend. We rolled in late and our keys were placed in an envelope so we could easily let ourselves in. We were pleasantly surprised at the rustic,... More

There is a good review written 4 days ago. Are we talking about the same year or what? Our family stopped here between our road trip from Glacier National Park and Cascades National Park two days ago. I reserved Studio 35 but was assigned Studio 31 which was closer to the entrance. Both are similar units so no big deal.... More

Wolfridge Resort is located in the secluded Methow Valley in the North Cascades. The upper Methow Valley has one road access from the east and one road access from the west. Wolfridge Resort and the Town of Winthrop is at the outskirts of the Carleton Complex Fire, the largest wildfire in Washington State History. Luckily, the resort was protected from... More

If you are expecting a true resort with a pool and a hot tub and a concierge/ front desk and being pampered, this is not the place for you. If you want a spacious cabin to sleep 5 minimum 8 maximum with a kitchen and a place that accepts pets, this place is fantastic. It is clean and our cabin... More

My husband and I have been coming here at least twice a year for years. The valley setting, next to a river, is beautiful and peaceful. In summer you can hike or relax next to the river. In winter, the cross country ski trail runs right through it. The Methow Indians considered this a healing place, and it still carries... More

Our stay started off on a bad note, we arrived later in evening on Sat. 9-14-2013 and went to office to check in and get our key and there was no one around, lights off ,doors locked. I tried several numbers on my receipt and no one answered. I finally got a number from someone to the grounds keeper (after... More

We apologize for the inconvenience with the check in process. Our office had moved just prior to your time of stay. We have improved our signage that points to the check in location to help our guests pick up their keys without any confusion and we have added phone numbers for on site managers to our check in process. The... More

The skiing and mountains were beautiful! The cabin is on the Methow Valley ski trail and the Methow river. It was peaceful and quite and the stars were spectacular at night. My family has visited and stayed in cabin #29&#30 (now called Quail Cabin and Quail Studio) for several years. We tried to find the cabin on the old website... More

Located about 5 miles north of Winthrop right on the Methow Valley ski trail -- hilly trail to the north and flat trail to the south. Easy drive to other starting points for skiing. We skied directly from the cabin the first day, and went to Mazama and Sun Mountain on other days. We had two families combining a downstairs... More

This resort is not a good value by any stretch of the imagination. Here's our list: The place was dirty. Shower curtains were old and moldy. We found mouse nests by the kitchen cabinets. If you're thinking about cooking, bring your own cook ware. There was one frying pan that was one inch deep and could maybe fit one egg.... More

Our experience was not the relaxing trip that we had planned. The rooms are not clean, the kids beds were caved in the middle and smelled like urine,( the pillows also had a strange odor), the adult bed was hard and felt like it was falling apart. The appliances did not work, and were disgusting, along with the over all... More

We booked a night's lodging at WRR on spec, based on this site's reviews. One second after entering our lodging, we were trying to think of ways we could stay longer (alas, we couldn't so so.) We were upgraded several levels, but that alone isn't why we were so pleased with our stay there. It's close enough to Winthrop for... More
