First time staying in Winthrop. It was a hastily planned business trip and did not have a lot of options but very happy we ended up at the Rio. Arrived late in the evening and the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. Only regret is not being able to stay longer. Will... More

Hotel Rio Vista is a well-run, attractive hotel at the confluence of the Methow and Chewuch Rivers. Every room has a nice patio and a view of the river. None face the street. We completely enjoyed our stay and hope to return. We arrived in Winthrop shortly after the power went out due to a large wildfire to the southeast.... More

Lovely hotel! Wonderful atmosphere and very well taken care of. Every staff member that we met was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and a nice size, the mini fridge was a nice added bonus. The balcony looking over the river was lovely and the hotel also has a sitting area down at the river; very peaceful... More

Room was a good size, clean and had an awesome view of the river. Prices were reasonable, parking was easy, the Wi-Fi worked well, the staff was very friendly, and there were great restaurants within walking distance.

The river is next to the room; there's two rivers that join and a little island with breastfeeding deers on it. There are crickets here at night, lots of sun, and there are bats that eat the many insects in town. The mattress is easy to sleep on and the room is pleasant. There is a jacuzzi but not a... More

Got into town at the end of an 800 km+ day on the motorcycle and was lucky enough to snag the last room. All the rooms look out on the river. Very comfortable bed, nice set up, private balcony, great shower. Front desk person (sorry, I'm terrible with names) got me a bucket of water (to go with the already... More

As pretty much everyone else has written, the Hotel Rio Vista is very clean and comfortable, has wonderful views literally right on the river, and is very convenient to all the restaurants/shops in the small town of Winthrop. What I really appreciate is the reasonable price and the owners' efforts to make their hotel as nice as can be. My... More

In town for a family wedding and chose this hotel for it's closeness to the events. I was concerned about noise being so close to the road. This was a very quiet hotel, great beds and listening to the river while sleeping and relaxing was wonderful. Parking lot is small but we were always able to find a place to... More

We had the pleasure, yet again, of staying at this comfy hotel but this time we introduced family as well. We were given adjoining lower floor rooms with the balconies practically over the river, which is quietly bubbling in the back. It's such a treat watching the river flow by! The location is very close to all the action in... More

For winter adventurers, the hotel is just across the pedestrian bridge from the ice rink and start of the Methow Valley's immaculately groomed ski and fat biking trails.
