We didn't stay in the rolling huts, but we stayed in the safari style tents that are behind the huts. The inside of the tents is good. They have carpet, 2 windows you can zip up, a screen door with fabric for privacy, and 2 cots. The electrical outlet is outside the tent so bring an extension cord if you... More

My wife and I spent 4 days here, it was the perfect getaway. they are cozy minimal cabins with beautiful wood burning fire places. The trails around them were spectacular, and Winthrop, and Twisp left us wanting to come back.

Took a quick one night stay out of Seattle. The drive across the mountains was spectacular on some of the best road in the US (closed all winter... watch out!). The huts are close together and you can hear other guests, although not to distraction. Location is great. Cute bar/coffee shop on site with friendly service. Design of units is... More

Stayed in January of 2014. Long but beautiful drive if you come from Seattle area. Cabins are warm and cozy, pleasure to be in. Glass wall and windows allow a lot of light and views to get into the room, but you still have a sense of privacy, thoughtful design. You have to appreciate the style and originality of Rolling... Motels, B&B's, hotels, lodges, hostels, campgrounds, tents, vacation rentals...blah, blah, blah. Been there, done that. (And lots of it was real fun!) The Rolling Huts of Mazama are simply unique. Like the tree house hotel, ICEHOTEL, twig nests, etc. this place is one of a kind. I went for a wedding on the property and stayed four days. Staff was... More

I booked a tent for my family of four. Nice area. We stayed in Piper. My only complaint is that the tents are very close together, much closer than they look on the map (on web). We won't be back because we prefer camping spots with more privacy. But if you are with a group of people, great place. Just... More

We love the look of the huts and the setting in Mazama but they have SERIOUS issues. The attached toilet looks like it hasn't been pumped for months. It was nearly full to the brim and could/should not be used. The sleeping pad was terribly uncomfortable and short. The best thing about the huts is the view of them from... More

@volanda As the new property manager for the Rolling Huts, I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Most people visiting us, come here seeking the tranquility and simplicity associated with the nature which surrounds us and our Huts are meant to be a reflection of that. I have only recently taken over... More

I like camping, places that are not cooky cutter, and have characters so I thought this place was great. Stayed in the winter and loved our weekend there. Being right on the trails was perfect, the views from your hut are beautiful, and the stove in the hut is amazing. It gets the place hot so quick and it was... More

It is much easier to write a review when you have something to complain about rather than take the time to share a positive experience. In that regard, we really appreciate your postiive comments and helpful room tips to the... More

There are many good things about the rolling huts - great location, nice modern feel if you don't want 80 thousand pillows and fluffy things, for a group of adults there could be more storage space and chairs comfortable for lounging after a hard day of skiing, although we improvised just fine....stove worked great, place was mostly clean BUT..... We just returned from our 2 night stay at the Rolling Huts. We stayed in Hut 3 which does not really matter too much as they are all the same with the same view. Although, Hut 1 is close to the trail to the tents so I would probably avoid that one while booking. We arrived to the hut, entered... More
