I have lived in the Seattle area my entire life and finally had the chance to do the entire Cascade Loop with my husband originally from the East Coast and my two kids and all I can say is WOW! Sun Mountain lodge is incredible and I cannot wait to go back! We originally were suppose to stay in Lake... More

My husband and I came for a belated anniversary. He had been there on the fire so we had to postpone our 11th. I have to admit I was surprised by the beauty of grounds. The staff are all so kind and go out of their way to help you out. The food is amazing! I don't say that lightly.... More

I was married at Sun Mountain Lodge and just spent my 24th anniversary there. If you are looking for an escape from everyday city life, Sun Mountain offers luxury accommodations and excellent dining surrounded by Mother Nature's beauty and bounty. While having a glass of wine on the outdoor deck of the bar, we spotted deer and a bear down... More

We arrived at Sun Mountain Lodge, 54 strong, for a week long family reunion on July 19, 2014. Unfortunately the devastating forest fires arrived as we did. We were only able to stay at the lodge for two nights, due to lack of power and a stage two evacuation level (stage three would be mandatory evacuation). Despite the circumstances, the... More

I visited the Sun Mountain Lodge in July 2014 with my mother, daughter, and niece as a girls trip. The drive up was beautiful, the property itself is breathtaking. You're so high up, all you see around you are beautiful mountains, wildflowers, and deer. We stayed in a Gardner Room room which had a king size bed, and day bed,... More

Had a great stay for three days. Enjoyed the Mr. Gardner rooms with fantastic views to the North Cascade mountains. Only negative comment is the high price for the rooms as without the third night free promotion I would likely not have stayed there.

After reading about the place in Lonely Planet and other travel sites, we decided to stop there to take in the views while having breakfast. The views, no doubt, are amazing but here are my issues with the place. 1. We waited 20 minutes to place our order (had finished 2 cups of coffee by then) 2. Waited close to... More

I had a great time at this hotel and there was nothing negative about it. My comment is the high price. Sun Mtn's prices are that of a 5 star property such as a Four Season or Ritz but the hotel itself is not at that level. Nothing wrong with it but in my opinion simply not worth the lofty... More

Hello, and thank you for writing! You pose a very good question worth an answer. One simple answer is that we go the extra mile when creating furniture and bedding, beyond chain hotels. We hire craftsmen to build to our specifics (all hard wood furniture in the rooms) and even hired blacksmiths to do all of the metal work, including... More

Sun Mountain Lodge is located in a beautiful setting overlooking the Methow Valley with great views of the North Cascades. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The beds are so nice that early risers like ourselves were sleeping in. They have a very well developed trail system that is well mapped and marked. The staff are very friendly and... More
