My husband and I recently spent our 37th anniversary at the lodge, in a Mt. Robinson guestroom, which is in the newest and furthest away building from the main lodge. The room was large and beautifully furnished with a big comfy bed with lots of pillows, a gas fireplace and separate seating area. The small balcony was perfect for star... More

Taking a last minute drive over the lovely North Cascades Highway from Seattle, I found Sun Mountain Lodge is tops. Driving up to Sun Mountain, dozens of mule deer and fawns grazed in lush green fields. The lodge is elegantly modern, spacious Northwest architecture. My pleasant room overlooked the pool and looked west toward the North Cascades. On the way... More

Although the Lodge was closed for the month of November, we really enjoyed our weekend in Patterson Lake Cabin 607. It was easy to get to from the parking lot, and it had a bedroom and bathroom downstairs, making it easier for my elderly parents. There was a very large bedroom with a couch/bed and roll-away twin bed, as well... More

Firstly is the location. It is quite spectacular. Up in the Cascade mountain range about eight miles from Winthrop. It is rather isolated and for that reason it has to have everything one would need, and it probably does. The hotel was quite full when we stayed but the Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our accommodation was a... More

My wife and I are very pleased with the Lodge. We arrived late and the gentleman at the desk helped us to get some food and settled into our room quickly. Thank you! This is a Lodge and it best to remember that when booking. Resort, Lodge, Hotel by definition are different. Lodges can be somewhat more rustic and usually... More

We stayed at the main lodge Oct 2nd . I was not sure what to expect for the price I paid..but I have absolutely NO REGRETS! IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! We got there late so we did not get to see the view until morning. And the view I woke up to..was simply majestic! The night sky was not... More

We loved everything about the Sun Mountain lodge. The hotel, the restaurant and most especially the fishing and boating lake. For us New Yorkers, fishing with two bald eagles at the Sun Mountain lake was the perfect start to all the amazing adventures in the area.

This is the second August in a row we have spent at Sun Mountain Lodge, and we love this place. The Mt. Robinson rooms are spectacular and spacious with private decks overlooking the valley. The tub is large and opens to the room where you can see out the sliding glass door to nature beyond. The bed is very comfortable.... More

I spent some time at the sun mountain lodge this summer! The most fun I had during my stay was the horseback rides that are offered by JD outfitters! The horses were super gentle and the wranglers were friendly! The cowboy dinners were a lot of fun! I went on a couple of them because I had so much fun!... More

We booked two nights at Sun Mountain Lodge on the recommendation of a friend from home, who had recently been there with her daughter. You need at least that full day to take advantage of the many activities offered at this plush resort hotel on the eastern edge of the Northern Cascade Mountains--hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing, swimming.... The view--especially... More
