Stayed at the La Quinta February 2004. The front desk personnel were very friendly and were very accommodating. They were more than happy to get our room ready for an early check-in. The location is convenient, if not especially picturesque, for a stay in Tacoma. Having recently completed five months of renovations, the hotel and its rooms feel clean and well-cared for. The breakfast buffet included waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, milk and coffee served in a restaurant overlooking the pool courtyard. We stayed here when we saw Paul McCartney at the Tacoma Dome. The room was clean and very sufficient for my husband and brother law. However, when we took showers at 9 AM there was not an ounce of hot, even warm water. Granted, it was a full hotel but shouldn't they have big enough water heaters for the ENTIRE... more
