After a long, long drive we drove onto the property at Riverside and were entranced - this place could offer us the rest and rejuvenation we needed. The flower beds and other landscaping were aesthetically pleasing and immaculate. Our cabin (Northwest) was cozy and comfortable. This small resort was built about 15 years ago with the buildings meant to harken... More

When we arrived a note was on the door.Room unlocked with keys on the table.Enjoy.These are cabin rooms at a small lodge not the Hilton and I loved this rustic feeling.Yes, the room was small but everything was cleaned and well taken care of.We stayed in the Afrika room. There were 2 of us and I used the futon.I knew going... Was considering having a family gathering at this establishment after a small wedding ceremony down the road a bit. Called and spoke to Angus, who passed himself off as the owner. Let me tell you that this man was one of the most rude and pompous "people" I have ever spoken to. Not only could I not get a word... More

I stayed with spouse and 22 month old son at this property in April 2015. We had reserved the NW passage room. Let me first describe the room details, The room has a full bed, a futon, a gas fire place for heat, a rod where you could hang your clothes, a kitchenette with all utensils, pots and pans, microwave,... Beat our expectations by far. If you are a train fan, and like being close to the riverside transportation this is such a great stay. We took our bikes with our 12 year old and found the old highway w/o cars and up to awesome waterfalls. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and welcoming. We will be back!

These clean and comfortable cabins are located on park-like riverfront property with incredible views. Yes, the trains are noisy, which the hosts are kind enough to make clear on their website. There are trains on either side of the river and we figured it's just a trade off for the amazing views. If you want a unique, non-corporate lodging experience,... More

Overall it was a comfortable and very scenic stay - but the trains are loud - which is the only downside to this place. They do provide earplugs though! The towels have seen better days... If I was travelling alone, or with someone who sleeps like the dead - I'd stay here again. But the noise is definitely something to... More

This place has cabin rentals. Most cabins are duplexes with a common deck looking towards the river. The largest cabin is single occupancy, has four beds, has a kitchenette, a jacuzzi bath plus a separate shower, and a soaking hot tub on the deck, which is just a few steps from the river. This larger cabin is the one we... More

Gorgeous views! A few yards from the water! Clean, comfy, kitchenettes, actually welcomed the no tv, no phones, it was cool so didn't miss the AC. Hot soaking tubs on decks nice. Comfortable bed. Trains lay on their horn all hours of the day and night, but it only bothered me once or twice...after awhile you get used to it,... More

My wife and I stayed in the cabin closest to the train tracks. The train was noisy, but with ear plugs we slept great. The cabins were very clean and comfortable. The cabins are right next to the water, so it was fun to watch some of the people wind sailing on the water. There was no TV, but there... More
