This is one of the most disappointing experiences I have had. Their advertisement is incorrect. There is no room service, not even a soda machine on the property. The rooms are bland at best, lack luster, and bad uneven floors, I fell twice in 2 days. Bathrooms are outdated. Completely under whelmed.. will not stay again, regardless of the price.

If you are looking for modern, continental breakfast and great WiFi, this is not the hotel for you. If you want downtown, walking distance to restaurants and theater, this may suit you. The hotel is definitely in need of capital improvements and some loving care, but it suited our purposes well. The 3 rooms our families occupied were clean, comfortable... More

From the outside this hotel could easily pass as another dive-inn. Not because there is anything run down or poorly designed, but because the lobby is about the size of a small bedroom. But once you get in the elevator and go up a floor, it open into this beautiful multi-story atrium with a wonderful warmth - dark brown wood... More

We booked a night to break up a long drive from Canada. After 8 hours at the wheel, we pulled up to the hotel. Right from the start, I knew it was a huge mistake. With my wife and son in the car, the hotel is in a very sketchy part of town. Just not safe feeling. There is no... More

I stumbled upon this gem on a roadtrip, it is a fantastic historic hotel, rich with history and detail, conveniently located downtown. The rooms are spacious, clean, with high ceilings. I only stayed one night and had free parking on the street in front of the hotel. The hotel has a great atrium with free gourmet coffee all day. Checking... More

This renovated small heritage hotel (reputedly once a bordello) is great value and conveniently located just across the street from the Fox Theatre -- a spectacular Art Deco restoration and home of the Spokane Symphony. Next door is a pleasant restaurant and lounge for pre or post performance libations and eats - called Scratch. At the Montvale the beds are... More

The Montvale is a well renovated hotel in a late 19th-century building on the west side of downtown Spokane, right across the street from the Fox Theatre (the home of the Spokane Symphony). We've stayed there twice, and been happy both times. The rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. This past time, we booked a room with... More

Easy to find this very tired looking hotel. I had booked online. Was tired when we arrived. Front desk was just there to check us in. No personality at all. The room was nice looking with fresh paint but there was a loud constant humming - we couldn't determine the source so we called the front desk. Girl said she... More

We booked two rooms for 2 adults and three children, as we really liked the idea and look of the balcony area and atrium, for sitting in after our children went to sleep. This area was fantastic and really lived up to our expectations. The rooms themselves were very serviceable, the carpets really needed changing, I actually told my kids... More

We booked this room for one night through Travelocity's secret hotel deal and, after reading some of the other reviews, I was a little nervous. If it is a modern, convenient, with all the amenities, bells and whistles etc., you are seeking then book another hotel. If you are interested in a historic building in a great part of town,...
