After booking my stay I checked the hotel out on trip advisor, and became slightly nervous to say the least. However I was within their 48 hour cancellation policy. The trip couldn't have be more delightful. The staff were quite curtious, the decor was astounding, the rooms comfortable and best of all no noise. The following morning my wife was... more

The hotel is cute but the service is not what I expected. The staff was rude and the thugs cleaning the rooms were very disrespectfull. I did not enjoy my stay. more

Before arriving, I discussed the need for a quiet and clean hotel because we were coming from out of town for a family funeral. I was traveling with my elderly parents. I was assured that the accommodations would be perfect. Upon arriving, I was very surprised by the condition of the lobby, the carpet was very stained and it had... more

I loved staying at this Hotel. The decore had an old world feel to it, while the staff were pleasent. (Austin) really went out of his way to help me out. I'm definently staying here on my future trips to Spokane. more

Having read other reviews about how the nightlife can be noisy, I phoned ahead. The staff assured me that Sunday-Tuesday there were no concerts, so I booked then. I suppose one must ask the right questions, as the streets and bars were quiet -- but the nearby train trestle was not. I am not accustomed to dense, urban settings, so... more

This lovely hotel is in a perfect downtown location. In winter with the windows closed, noise was not a problem. But - the room was dark, only a tiny bedside lamp and a 40 watt table lamp to illuminate the bedroom. We were told the owner wanted to have the hotel replicate European hotels - but that's ludicrous. The entry... more

This restored historic hotel located in the West First Arts District I really enjoyed my stay there. The room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed with furnishing and the bathroom was again spacious, clean with plenty of shelves for all your toiletries. The atrium sitting area is light and airy with comfortable armchairs and sofas and it is here where... more

The good: The hotel has a sort of Old West charm to it that I found appealing. The inner courtyard/great room with fireplace on the second floor was quite charming. The location is in downtown Spokane but I think in the older part; I frankly had little time to explore the area. The not-so-good: I had read previous reviews warning... more

I recently booked a two night stay at Spokane's Montvale hotel based on the 4 star rating on Hotels.com the price was $159.00 per night. I was very disappointed in the lobby, service, breakfast, and room size and features. I would consider this hotel a 2.5 star hotel and would not pay more than $89.00 a night. I will never... more
