I got this room with a great deal on priceline. It's just about on the edge of downtown. There was lots of places to eat within walking distance. The room was pretty small. I did however like that you can tell it was recently redone to be more modern. The breakfast was pretty tiny with the normal continental stuff. The... More

Our second visit to the Ruby and we were happy to be back. Rooms are small but very clean with comfortable beds and funky artwork. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location in downtown Spokane. An extra shelf in the bathrooms to arrange toiletries would be very helpful. Small fridge and microwave in rooms. Self-serve breakfast bar with waffles... More

So we booked this place for its location and price. The pics I had seen didn't look too bad. Employees here were awesome The room was ok but the bathroom was bad with permanent dirt stains in the tub. Couldn't reach the toilet paper from toilet. Towel rack six inches above counter on back wall. A.c could only keep half... More

Go for top floor rooms, has elevator, very convenient for us for the theater and dinner at the Davenport. We went to the Davenport for Starbucks and a walkabout, if I want luxury I pay for luxury, it was a bargain, a quick night stay. A few night would be fine. Who goes to Spokane to hang in their room.... More

We drove to Spokane from Seattle to go to a Tool concert. This hotel is located within a moderately long walk of the venue. The room reminded me of a Motel 6 (which I haven't stayed in in about 30 years). It was clean. My biggest complaint would be the noise from the other guests until the wee hours of... More

It was easy to find. Spent about 12hrs in Spokane as I was passing through. The hotel is by the train tracks which can be heard inside, wasn't too big of a deal for me. Room was big, nicely decorated, although the washroom could use an update. Some noise travelled in when people walked past the door. Again I wasn't... More

Never having been to Spokane (a terrific city as it turns out), we chose the Ruby because it was center city and reasonable and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. The Ruby is not a luxury hotel, but is cheerful, comfortable and an excellent value in the city (reminds me of small European hotels), walking distance to wonderful restaurants... More

My husband and I stayed three nights in May. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We used the bikes both mornings for a couple of hours - there are great bike paths and very easy to get to. We never moved the car after we arrived. Walking distance to mall, movie theatre, live theatre... More

Just had a three night stay and the staff was awesome! I had just fractured my foot and they made every efforet to facilitate a pain free stay. The hotel is great and the location is perfect. But the staff, mostly a young man named Steven, were excellent hilping me with my bum foot. Thank you very much!

Ruby and Ruby 2 used to be useful for a bed close to everything in Spokane, if staying in wasn't one's objective. That has changed. The structures are the same, but lots of careful updates to bathrooms, art, and bedding/furniture. Now Ruby 2 is a delight, and the paint job on Ruby makes me think the same for it, although... More
