This place is gross! The elevator was broken so you get to your rooms by taking the service elevator, sometimes you get to share it with the trash and dirty dishes. My room smelled like musty smoke, I wasn't sure if it was because it used to be a smoking room or because the hotel staff was smoking on the... more

I called in June for an October reservation and the girl who helped me was very snotty and acted like it was a big inconvenience for her to book my reservation. I had questions later on that I tried calling about and no one answered the phone no matter when I tried calling. There was no message system or even... more

They lost my reservation made through hotels.com (I was speaking to Shawna at the hotel). I spent 30 minutes back and forthe with hotels.com and Shawna trying to sort this out. I arrived at the hotel at 3pm, 1 hour ahead of check in. Unfortunately it was Shawna again that I had to deal with at the front desk. She... more

Our experience (with teenagers) was basically the same as described by many reviewers: no elevator, tawdry atmosphere, minimal staff, weird adjacent bar, seedy surroundings, etc. But our rooms were OK and we survived the night without any axe murderers pounding on our door on the largely deserted (and very musty smelling) fourth floor. We stayed there several times before and,... more

We showed up in Spokane without a room and our only real criteria was for an affordable hotel within walking distance of the train station and where we could leave our bags after checkout until midnight. If I had had access to a computer I would have pricelined or hotwired, but instead we found a tourist city map with downtown... more

Where to begin.......???? One elevator was out of order and the other one was stalling between floors and fearing for our safety, we donned our nike's and made it a ritual of walking up/down the stairs. Upon check-in we were "greeted" by one of the rudest and most disinterested employees that we had witnessed in years. We booked an "executive"... more

Our reservation for the Ridpath Hotel in downtown Spokane Washington was for June 13-16, 2008. My wife was attending a weekend convention nearby. I had already heard that the hotel's guest elevators had not been working since at least January 2008. I thought maybe they might be fixed by now, but it would still be OK if we had to... more

So much loud music noise from next door bar it really seemed like the band was in the room. It went on for hours. The hotel should not even offer this room on the third floor. Also there was no TV remote. We called front desk and they said someone would bring one up soon. No one showed up. The... more

I like the Ridpath, and I would stay there again. My wife on the other hand is not as forgiving as I am, and on our next trip to Spokane she would prefer to stay somewhere else. This Hotel is no longer owned by West Coast Hotels, and is a dramatically different experience from when I reviewed this Hotel in... more

I needed a cheap hotel for one night while in town for a concert. Having read that some had trouble with reservations made through travel sites, I called a day ahead to make sure they had my reservation - they didn't, and advised me to call Orbitz. Orbitz faxed it to them while I was on the line, and I... more
