We have been fans of the Ruby for a while now - we have never been disappointed when staying there. When we saw they took over the old Econolodge (I think), we decided to give it a try. It is similar in many ways to the Ruby - nicely decorated, very comfortable, all the amenities you want. The price is... More

We've stayed at both Ruby and Ruby 2. Rooms at both were clean, comfortable and well-arranged for the minimal time we spent in the space. Train noise was not a problem (we noticed it when we were awake but it didn't keep us awake) nor was there any disturbance from other travelers even tho the place was quite full. Location... More

The hotel is nicely cleaned. It is right next to the railroad tracks but the sound was not noticeable. It was near the places downtown that I was going to for night life and an easy walk with my parents to Gonzaga University.

Stopped into this place heading East after ck'g other reviews on Tripadvisor. For $65 a night, you can't go wrong with this hotel, with it's slightly funky decor. Great room, shower, wifi and location. Downtown is all walkable and there's tons to ck out, including the river walk. What else do you need!

When I checked in with reception they were helpful and friendly. Entered my room that was comfortable, checked out the bathroom and was clean and updated with new surfaces. The room had all the amenities that I required for the reasonable price I paid. Parking was an extra $5.00 that I found to be very reasonable for a downtown hotel.... More

Great to see this old motel get the slick treatment. The location is great - walk everywhere downtown. Reasonable rates and updated everything means a great deal for travelers. Clean attractive rooms with comfy new beds and linens, quiet aircons, clean modern washrooms, and even a cool view across the train tracks (who doesn't love trainspotting?) towards the old steam... Just stayed 2 nights at the Ruby 2. It was so awesome! We have children and not only were the staff so kind and helpful, but it felt safe. There is convenient underground parking and a continental breakfast with affordable room rates. My oldest son loves art and this place is truly inspiring from the moment you get out of... More

1. Best price we found in town. 2. Right downtown, walking to eateries and the riverfront park, which is nice. 3. Felt safe. 4. Very tasteful place. I read about the train noise. We had a room separating us from the tracks--no problem Low and peaceful hum when the trains went by.

We stayed one night at the Ruby2. The location of this motel is good and within walking distance to Riverside shopping and the park. The parking is convenient although not secure. Our room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Rooms are accessed by outside corridors - so each room has an outside door and the windows face onto... More

Hi, thank you so much for your feedback! We realize that you took your valuable time to do that. Our parking garage is equipped with security cameras and someone is onsite 24/7. I'm glad you found our rooms to be clean as that is our goal! Our original continental breakfast has been improved considerably by the addition of the eggs... More

My impression of this hotel is that it is below average! The very first thing you need to know is that the hotel is located right beside the train tracks that run through Spokane, & they are VERY active, at ALL hours of the day & night. The rooms are clean & amenities in the rooms (bed, bedding, furnishings, etc.)... More

Thank you for giving us your feedback. I am sorely disappointed to hear about an experience like you had! I can't even imagine a member of my staff telling you to use a gas station bathroom. It seems that they may not have realized that you were a hotel guest, but they should have asked you that first before sending... More
