Booked a room at the Twin Gables for business, but I'll be returning with the the family. I stayed in the vacation rental apartment and had a delightful stay. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Kathleen was great and answered all our questions. Next time I come, I'll be bringing the canoe!

Twin Gables and the innkeeper, Kathleen, are a gem in the country, and they are worthy of a stop for overnight or for a couple of days. It's a perfect layover for those who spend a day in Astoria seeing the Lewis & Clark parks and museums, the city, the Astoria Megler Bridge, and all the city has to offer,... More

Our short stay at the Twin Gables could not have been more peaceful or romantic. The home and room were lovingly appointed with an amazing collection of antiques. Everything was clean as could be. The host, Kathleen, was charming and gracious. The location along the tidally influenced creek was perfectly serene. Breakfast was supurb. We walked to Columbia Kayaks, The... More

My husband and I came here for our anniversary, a gift from our children. I had heard about this small community from a co worker. What a delightful place. Comfortable, accommodating and very relaxing. A gateway to the incredible Columbia River estuary which is immense. Food was delicious, bed was comfortable and the hosts were warm and gracious. We highly... More

Warm and inviting home where the water soothes the restless spirit. We fell in love with the keepers, Kathleen and Stevan. Nice people who made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was incredible, home was clean, up-to-date, tasteful and cozy!

This B&B was a great find. It is located in a small little village on the Columbia River. Plenty of opportunities for kayaking in the creek and nearby sloughs. The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable, and overlooked the creek. The "small supper" which was only $15 extra per person was a normal sized meal and delicious. Breakfast the next... More

We took a chance and had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable and the food was tasty. It was well located and easy to find off a main highway, but without the noise. Surrounding area was pleasant and interesting to look at.

Clean, quite, pet friendly. The fresh ground coffee and 1/2 and 1/2 in the refrig made our early morning departure impossible. So nice to sit have fresh baked shortbread and coffee before starting the day.

Beautifully done all around. Kathleen, while being an excellent Hostess and Chef, was highly accommodating of our last minute change of date! Modern comforts in a rustic setting. Definitely a labor of love... And it shows!

My wife and I rented the private apartment for the weekend following Thanksgiving. Kathleen greeted me by name when we arrived. She was very friendly and responsive when I had a question about the stove. She was very accommodating towards our green cheek conure who travels with us. The apartment was immaculate. It was well laid out and very comfortable.... More
