Straightforward, with few frills, but everything you could want for a good night's stay. Very accomodating and friendly hosts and a well-done breakfast. Small details add up to luxury IMHO.

Every year we have a family reunion at Vista Park just across the street on the last week of July. Somehow we have become the older generation and too old for tenting sooooo now we have the pleasure of staying at Twin Gables. A lovely home with wonderful breakfasts. We look forward to our visit every year.

We relaxed for our anniversary at this quiet retreat. The hosts were so gracious you'd think we were family! Quiet and secluded little town, though kayak rentals just across the street. Most satisfying two course breakfast. Great value. -Joel & Madeline, Seattle

Stevan and Kathleen are the perfect hosts. My husband and I wanted a nice Valentine's day getaway, and we got a wonderful weekend memory that we will cherish forever. The night we arrived, Stevan suggested we walk down to the grange for the fundraiser steak dinner they were serving. We were glad we did that; the people of Skamokawa were...

The old house, accomodations, peaceful setting, and our hosts were all fantastic! Ten stars are in order, where I can only give five.

The Twin Gables provided a lovely bed & breakfast experience. This vintage wooden is actually two homes joined at the hip to create a huge, inviting main space on the first floor. The rooms are lovingly restored and furnished with period furniture and other items. The Twin Gables is right on Skamokawa Creek (there's a nice dock, if you bring...

This is a wonderful place to relax, with a charming historical ambiance, friendly owners, and a beautiful Columbia River setting. It's a fairly easy drive down from Seattle, whether as a destination or as a base for points farther west on either the Oregon or Washington coasts. We enjoyed the easy walk to a nearby park and wildlife refuge. The...

Twin Gables B&B in Skamokawa, WA is one of those surprising places that many people including us have passed by more than once on our way to the ocean beaches.
This October we finally decided to stop and stayed two nights at this very comfortable B&B, but could have stayed longer.
Our hosts Stevan and Kathleen were kind and interesting...

We needed to be in the Cathlamet, WA area, and found Twin Gables while on Google Earth. Steve and Kathleen were great. They have been in the Skamokawa area for 10ish years, and are slowly becoming locals. There insights into the area were perfect for out-of-towners like us.
Kathleen is a great cook. Breakfasts were wonderful, and delivered at the...

This bed and breakfast is out of the way (and hard to locate in the dark) but is a real find. My son and I were looking for a place near Cathlamet, and Twin Gables is just a few minutes down the road in Skamokawa ("ska-MOCK-away") . It's two turn-of-the century houses that the owners have creatively connected to make...
