Nicely decorated and comfortable hideaway. Jessica, the inn owner is a good cook and sweet soul. The inn is away from the rush, with deer and their fawns walking through the yard at dawn and dusk. Humming birds frequent the feeder outside and the Tree Swallows did their captivating dance of dives over the pond every evening. It was a... More

The Lucky Mud is a magical place. It is tucked away in the Willapa Hills of SW Washington. It is a short drive down a country road in Skamokawa, Washington where one can escape from the clamor of a busy city life and reconnect with one’s spirit and nature. Jessica, the inn owner, is one of the sweetest women you... More

The owner made the stay! She was present just enough and catered to special request pleasantly and as a matter of course. The food was wonderful. The surroundings and wildlife amazing. They also have disc golf... Apparently a challenging and popular course.

The most restful place to lay your head after kayaking on the Columbia River. Large windows allow you vistas of green, green, and more green around the back pond. Hot tea or coffee abound, plenty of reading materials, beautiful grounds to explore but most of all, it's so very quiet and peaceful. Meals were delicious, organic, and plentiful. Jessica and... What a delightful spot! Jessica provides an atmosphere of total tranquility, comfort and joy; puts you at ease and invites you to share a peaceful setting. Enjoying a morning cup of coffee while gazing out at pond complete with nature sounds and wildlife or enjoy happy hour on the deck with the humming birds nearby. The food was fantastic, plentiful... we had a wonderful two nights at the Cottage behind the Lucky Mud Inn. this was the most relaxing stop of our family road trip. "unique" does not begin to describe this place, hand-built by Sunrise and bunch of hippies in the early 70's (his words). it's a fully functional house with a kitchen and outdoor BBQ, but it is... Music of critters near the pond and Sunrise on guitar and ukelele. Aromas and tastes of delightful cuisine. Vistas of hills, gardens and all blooming things. Laughter and camaraderie. All in a restful, clean, inviting B&B. Bustling with the business of providing quality food and bed but with quiet spaces abounding for introspection and personal enjoyment. We were there as... More

Every anniversary my wife and I celebrate by making a trek to a B&B. This year (our 21st) we landed at Lucky Mud -- the best ever. Jessica (with help from Sunrise) proved that hyper-local, hyper-fresh ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, can outdo even the splashiest of restaurant fare. Sunrise and another staff member proved that heartfelt music in a cozy setting... More

My boyfriend and I came to The Inn at Lucky Mud for a Valentine’s Day get-away and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Sunrise and Jessica were excellent hosts; knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. There was incredible fresh made breakfast each morning and the beautiful sound of Sunrise jamming on his ukulele added that perfect extra touch... More

The Inn at Lucky Mud changed my attitude about B&B's. I never liked the close quarters and too cute decorations of most B&B's that are remodeled old houses . The Inn was designed as a B&B from the ground up. Each room is large with a private bathroom. The rooms are on a separate floor from the living room and... More
