Welcome to Lucky Mud, a hidden paradise in the remote Willapa Hills of SW Washington. Dine on locally-grown food in a home that was custom-designed for bed and breakfast privacy and comfort. Our 40-acre homestead is groomed for an 18-hole disc golf course and/or a wonderful hike. It's yours to explore. "This is seriously one of my favorite places on this planet. The course is absolutely amazing, views are gorgeous, and the hosts, Adam/Sara and family, are some of the nicest people I've ever met. If you've never been, make the trip out to LUCKY MUD! I fell in love with it the first time I was there, you will too!"
The place is beautiful, expansive lush green grounds, very quiet. A lovely pond with birds, butterflies and bees. We loved sitting near it and looking at the birds. my kids ( 13 and 9) also enjoyed playing disc golf. However, the place does not serve breakfast anymore which I think was one of the other big pros of this place. The present kitchen is a kitchenette, cramped, with few cutlery, no stove. Due to Memorial day weekend the restaurants ( very few, as this is a remote area) were closed. Also being vegetarians our options were limited. We managed with the food we had taken with us. But struggled with heating and making a few things like omelets etc. with the slow hot plates provided. We also had to keep washing the cups and glasses so it could be used amongst 8 of us. Other than this inconvenience (which sounds small but is cumbersome with small kids around) it was a wonderful stay. I would recommend as long as you are not bothered by the limited kitchen facility.…

The room was comfy, the Cedar Room decor was a great eclectic mix of Art Nouveau and somewhat regional flair. It opens to the pond where deer abound. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh hard boiled eggs, berries from the garden, apples from the tree and a great variety of pastries yogurts and such. Adam, Sara and Jessica are great hosts and conversationalists and welcoming. I’m taking the trip again.

Stumbled upon this beautiful oasis from a website. Looking for a place outside of the city and away from the crowds and bustle. This is it. Yes, it is remote (at least coming from Los Angeles it feels that way.) Much needed paradise. The hosts, Adam, Sarah and Jessica were just as lovely as anyone can be. Felt at home and welcomed and also given as much privacy as needed. The rooms were lovely and the views extraordinary. We are not golfers but walked the course in what can only be described as a wonderland! Breathtaking and well maintained with the at home feel. Highly recommend. Missed the breakfast, unfortunately as was not available when we visited, however there was coffee and food with a fridge and what not if needed. Games, movies, books. I would recommend staying more than one night for the true experience. Thank you!…

Clean. Delicious food. Beautiful views from every angle. Friendly and helpful staff. I could go on and on! We were enchanted by the ferns and cedar groves and the delightful swing. We played 18 holes of Disc Golf and it was so much fun! (Newbies to the game.) There were fawns and deer prancing hither and yon. We didn't hear ANY traffic noise - where do you go and still not hear some traffic? - and the interior artwork, decor, book selections all spoke of excellent taste and elegance...with a side of foosball. Yes. Everything you could want for all tastes. It's here. Best part? Limited cell service and the ability to forget not only what time it is but what DAY it is. Highly recommend.

My husband, two kids, and I just spend the weekend at The Inn at Lucky Mud. The trip was a birthday surprise for my husband who plays disc golf, and their disc golf course is one of the top-rated in Washington State! Not only did he have a blast on their disc golf course, Adam, Sara, and their little man Aiden were wonderful hosts! I was delighted to discover that they lean heavily towards natural and organic products in the inn, as well as in what they serve for breakfast. They are very familiar with a diet free of gluten and refined sugars, so they were easily to accommodate my family's needs. My entire family felt welcome the entire time, Jason enjoyed his "guided tour" of the disc golf course by Adam (and being able to play three rounds, since we were staying on-site), the kids loved having a friend their age to play with, and we all enjoyed the inn and the grounds. The stars were brilliant at night, and the entire grounds were a beautiful place to wake up to in morning! We had such a great time, the kids have been asking to go back to "that other house" since we pulled into our own garage last night. :)…

I spent two delightful nights at the Lucky Mud. I’ve stayed in many B&B’s and this is one of the very best. The facility itself is first rate—clean, spacious, open. My first floor room (no stairs!) had a spacious balcony with a wonderful view of the Washington countryside. The breakfast was excellent, and they gave me access to their fridge and microwave. This spot is near the small town of Skamokawa that has a couple of passable restaurants and a small store, and is located on a beautiful inlet off the Columbia river. I should add that the Lucky Mud operators are fantastic, really responsive and accommodating, and also smart and friendly. I really enjoyed the conversations I had with them, catching them in between their chores I didn’t play frisbee golf, but apparently they have a popular course. Highly recommended!…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lucky Mud. The hosts are delightful, the inn is beautiful, modern, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We relaxed outside, watched several deer, hummingbirds, and enjoyed the landscape and flowers. The disc golf is an added bonus. All around, a lovely place, unique, and well worth the short drive.

Beautiful room and amazing property around it. We went into town to play bingo with the locals and enjoyed walking around the small town. The owner was really sweet and I will definitely stay there again.

My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend over Presidents' Day at the Inn. I had been wanting to check it out for a while after hearing about the disc golf course. Unfortunately, the really wet weather prevented us from taking advantage of the course, which looks to be a challenge. The new owners were great. Very accommodating and available, without being intrusive. They have some exciting plans for the inn and I am looking forward to going back and seeing their progress. The Audubon room was comfortable, though the bed was a tad soft for my taste. The views from the balcony were lovely, overlooking the pond and the resident deer that rested under the trees. We got some great tips on things to see and places to go. Breakfasts were delicious and kept us going well into the afternoon. All in all, it was a memorable experience. Quiet inn in an out-of-the way location but still plenty to do. A relaxing place to stay and a very romantic weekend! We will be back! …
