We were so looking forward to a special anniversary dinner. Have been to the Shelburne many times in the past, but not lately. We should have been suspicious when we arrived at 7 pm on a Saturday night and only 2 other tables were occupied. We were seated and totally ignored. Finally ordered drinks by a very confused fellow and... More

We were so sorry to learn that you were disappointed with some of the food and service for your anniversary dinner. I have spoken with the staff members who waited on you and gained some additional perspective on the evening. It’s not that your server was confused, rather, the bartender was busy and wished to confirm the details of your... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a romantic weekend away and discovered a real gem! To summarize the rooms and property were beautiful, the staff bent over backwards to meet our every want and need, exemplary service all around and the food was great! We look forward to our next stay! The Shelburne is a quaint historic hotel on... More

My husband and I frequently visit the Shelburne when we are in Long Beach. The pub is warm and cozy with food several notches above typical pub food. The restaurant has always had top notch chefs, but the current one is wonderful. They had live music for our recent visits and is added greatly to our experience.

A nice place to stay! A very peaceful, warm and friendly atmosphere hotel, with a touch of charm and history. I loved the dedication of the hotel owners to their guests and the time they spend with us. Breakfast is also very good.

Charming inn, much as they describe it. Many wonderful details, for instance, in our room, the door between the bedroom and bathroom contained a beautiful piece of stained glass. There's no air-conditioning and it was warm when we were there (which is probably unusual). It's on a not-charming stretch of highway and, despite what it might look like on a... More

The Shelburne is located on the main street in Seaview, which is at the southern end of the Long Beach peninsula. It's a short drive or even a walk to the massive beach which seems to stretch for most of the length of the peninsula. It's a unique hotel for which the word "quirky" might have been invented, right down... More

There aren't many beaches along the northwest coast but Seaview is located on long beach which is a thirteen mile beach near the mouth of the Columbia River. It would be an excellent area for nice B&Bs but I didn't see many. The Shelburne is an exception. It has a restaurant that has fine dining. We ate all our meals... More

The Shelburne is a very old, quaint hotel located on the main drag of Seaview, and close by to Long Beach, walking trails, and the ocean. With a cottage garden lining the front of the inn and a garden area to the side, winding staircases and hallways, antiques, and dark wood interior, it is cozy and unique. Each room is... More

The Shelburne is a wonderful historic property in a great location to get to all of the activities on the Long Beach Peninsula. The room my wife and I had (#14) was comfortable with a great couch, chair, coffee table, easy-to-sleep-in bed, and a balcony deck (no TV was a plus for us too). The hotel was built in the... More

Beautiful gardens, nice sitting area in the yard, fantastic meals in the restaurant (fresh caught local salmon, freshly picked mushrooms), delicious, extensive breakfasts (4-5 daily fresh dishes). Our room (#2) was kind of small but the other rooms looked larger. Nice touches; library (books and information on the area), freshly made cookies when we arrived. Owners were as nice as... More
