We just returned from a trip up the Oregon and Washington coastline. We stay at Unique Inns whenever possible, so we were really looking forward to our stay at the Shelburne Country Inn. The pictures were warm and inviting, and the reviews of the food in the restaurant made our mouths water. The building itself is quite historic and effort... More

We're truly sorry that you were disappointed in your stay with us, and that you weren't able to experience the full offering of our dining room when you were here. Our Chef was on his day off and we are currently training his relief person. The name of our town is Seaview and it was named that in the late... More

We stayed at the Shelburne Inn last weekend and had a wonderful, peaceful, quiet getaway. Everyone on staff was warm and friendly, our room was cozy and comfy, and we enjoyed the sense of getting away from tv, work, computers (though they do offer free wifi) at a historic inn. But I really have to talk about the food. The... More

While working our way back up the coast to Canada, we overnighted at the seriously historic Shelburne Inn. This was our second visit, which tells you that it's a favorite. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a little balcony overlooking the herb garden. As others have already noted, the website photos give you an accurate portrayal... More

My wife & I spent 3 nights at the historic Shelburne County Inn in Seaview, WA over the Valentine's/President day weekend. We loved our Victorian-style room, complete with 4-poster bed & claw-foot tub/shower, along with a semi-private deck right off our room. Included in the cost of the room was a delicious "gourmet" breakfast in the beautifully decorated dining room.... More

The Shelburne Inn is comfort and ambience at its best, but we spent an anniversary in the Audubon Cottage at the inn's "annex" at China Beach and were simply blown away by the combination of rustic charm, elegance and luxury. Impeccably clean and endearingly quirky, the two-story cottage has totally stunning views of the mouth of the Columbia from Ilwaco... More

I must say my expectations were pretty high based on the reviews we read. We were not disappointed at the least. The hospitality is above and beyond what is common today. This place is simply wonderful. Great service, amazing food, and a very comfortable place to spend a weekend. We would love to visit again!

As soon as you walk in the door the Shelburne seems like home away from home if somewhat more cluttered than most of our homes. This is a friendly retreat from the weekday pressures of Seattle and Portland. Seaview is lazy and charming with avenues of wooden clapboard houses dating back to the late19th century backing on to a beautiful... More

The inn has much of the feel of a B&B. It's an old building, and as such (and as others have noted) it has its quirks. The walls-and floors-are not as well sound-proofed as a modern building; we could hear noise from the dining room immediately below us in the evening, but by bed-time all was quiet. Rooms vary in... Great historic inn and charming room though it was so tiny I kept bumping into the bed. Free WiFi and free breakfast. If you book with group on you also get a bottle of wine. I would recommend paying a little extra and getting a bigger room.

Sweet historical inn. We loved the ambiance, and overall feel of this place. Beware the stairs are narrow and floors uneven but that adds to the charm of living in the past a bit. Pub and restaurant were excellent. The restaurant is not to be missed. Owner David is a delight!
