I just returned from a 2 night trip at this resort. We had a Village living room suite on the second floor with lake views. Our View was amazing and I was quite pleased with the care in which we were treated. On arrival we were given 3 maps with highlighted trails that the owner recommended and encouraged to come... More

What the hotel lacks in amenities it makes up for in location. Getting around the Olympic Peninsula had taken longer than we'd planned, so I called ahead to make sure we would be able to check in after 9pm. They let us know the office would be closed, but that they would tape our key to the front door of... More

We spent three days here last month in one of the motel type rooms. Lovely room with a separate sitting room and a balcony with a perfect view over the lake. We were able to really relax in this sublime setting. There is a restaurant just across the road, also a grocery store which has delicious coffees available all day.... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the main building and asked for the second floor. This gave us a room with a Hugh window where we could lay in bed and look directly out over the lake, or sit on the balcony in chair and watch the water while having a drink. Room was clean and... Rain Forest Village has varying accommodations, including a studio w/ kitchen over the laundromat. It's large, private, and nice, and the laundry isn't a problem. BUT... the kitchen equipment was awful to the point of humor. It looked like a combination of junk from yard sales and "I don't really want to throw this out... I guess I'll put it... More

We stayed in one of the suites. Room was clean but mattress a bit soft for my liking. Overall the hotel is basic but if you don't have to have luxury you will find everything fine. Nice view of lake from the balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Either the store at the hotel which is also the... More

The room is outdated but you cannot beat the wonderful view out of the picture window. The lake and the sunsets are stunning. The store staff which is also the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. We used the laundry and for the first time in my life putting the minimum amount for a dryer resulted in dry clothing.... After reading some of the negative reviews we weren't sure what to expect upon arrival. We came to the conclusion that some people can't be pleased no matter what. We had a 2nd floor room facing the lake and the view from the big picture window or sitting out on the deck was fantastic. The room is basic but was... More

Comfortable and clean rooms overlooking lake. This is a motel, not luxurious but a good value and very well located. Staff, which is located in the adjacent store, is very helpful. A good place to base yourself to do hikes in Olympic National Park rain forest.

No privacy! The room was musty and the brown carpet was stained. The decor was brown to cover up any stains, I imagine. The pillows were very used and awful. We paid a lot of money given what we got in return. The owners should invest some of that money in redoing the place. They were prompt and courteous if... More
