My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to the Columbia Valley and our first two nights were spent here. I could NOT have been happier! The room was GORGEOUS, as were the incredible views from the balcony! The breakfast each morning was a really nice touch, as well as the tasting upon arrival and the bottle of wine in our... More

We spent one night here and that was enough. We were exhausted. Although they mention the rooms overlook the river, they forget to mention they overlook the noisy freeway as well. And on the other side of the building is the train tracks. We were unable to enjoy the balcony as the freeway traffic was too noisy and there were... More

Alright, I need to add my experience here - I understand that the booking process is an important aspect of anywhere you stay, but I think the overall 2-star review for the accomodations here is unwarranted. I booked a last-minute stay at Desert Wind last week after an opening came up (another person cancelled). I called around to a few... More

We spent one night at the Desert Wind Winery Inn which was more than enough. We slept poorly as our room was cold and the auto fan very noisy. The noise was so loud we could not hear the TV. The remote would not adjust for volume or mute. The door to the balcony would not shut properly. There was... More

We spent just one night at Desert Wind Winery and I loved it there. It was a lovely antidote to chain hotels and had Southwest décor, which I’m partial to. There are just four rooms at this winery in Eastern WA. At least three of them are on the second floor, up a flight of stairs (no elevator), and the... More

We spent a long weekend at Desert Wind, and I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Yakima Valley. There are only 4 rooms here, each slightly different, but all are very spacious and nicely decorated in desert SW style. The bed was super comfortable, with a down mattress pad and duvet (and very tall - I almost needed... More

Stayed two nights while we visited the wine country of Yakima Valley, etc. Beautiful rooms with balconies overlooking the Yakima River. Great breakfast served in your room. However, there is nothing else around. Very limited dining options as the Inn only serves lunch, and then only on weekends. Also after 5pm they make you enter and exit through the back... More

We found the Desert Wind on the internet and were more than pleased with the accommodations. We were welcomed at Check-in and given a tour of the facility and our room with instructions on how to access the private entrance after hours. Even had a wine tasting! The bed was very comfortable with superior linens. The suite was clean, roomy,... More
