Our stay at the Ann Starrett Hotel was a nightmare. From the initial "greeting" to the dirty room it was nothing as advertised. The moment we entered the hotel the manager was rude, unhelpful and disinterested in us. We had made reservations at the Ann Starrett weeks prior to our trip because we were assured that the hotel was pet... more

Overall I would say that yes, this is a pretty lovely place to stay. The location is very nice, in a quiet neighborhood, but just a short walk into town. During our stay we seemed to have kept "off" hours from the rest of the guests, so we didn't have a chance to interact much with the staff. We came... more

We stayed in the carriage suite. Be warned that the carriage house rooms are acutally in the basement! The room was a tacky mix of garage sale furniture & craft shop bric a brac. The bed and pillows, however, were very comfortable. They have the worst coffe ever! The public areas of the house were extremely cold and drafty, so... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ann Starrett Mansion last December for New Years. I have never been so scared in my life. We stayed in the Master's Suite on the second floor of the mansion. The first night that we stayed there we went to bed around midnight. I had an uneasy felling about the place so I... more

A friend of mine & I were scheduled to be in Port Townsend for one night on March 18th. We wanted separate rooms but somewhere with more ambience than just a motel without spending a small fortune. The Gable Room at the Ann Starrett fit the bill perfectly. It has an opulent living room with a rocking chair (something I... more

The Ann Starrett Mansion is an exquisite historic home worth a stay. We stayed in the Garden Room and found it to be quite comfortable, clean, private and quiet. For those who appreciate Victorian homes, this will be a real treat. They do not serve breakfast, but they mentioned that up front when I was making the reservations, so it... more

Great old home. My family of 4 stayed in the "Gables Suite" which was in the third floor of this beautiful home. I usually perfer new, plush hotels so this was an adventure for me. It was great. It was comfy, quiet and cozy. My 14 and 10 year old loved it, too. The only draw back was the shower/tub.... more

I made reservations months ago to stay in the Ann Starrett Mansion Memorial Day weekend, 2004. But they called yesterday, April 2, and told me they had overbooked the inn and were cancelling me. When I asked why they had to cancel me and not someone else, the woman, "Carrie," told me the other party had rented the whole house.... more
