We haven't been able to get away for awhile, but decided to go to Commander's Beach House, our favorite place, for our anniversary getaway. Just like you, we discovered them on the internet many years ago and jad a wonderful time. We've been there many times since then. As always, Jim and Gail were wonderful hosts. They've made some improvements... More

I am a local in Port Townsend and booked a room here for my mom when she came to visit. This B&B is unique in Port Townsend because it is right on the beach and has fantastic views. It is very clean and has an eclectic decor. The hosts, Jim and Gail, made my mother feel right at home. The... More

Not sure we can duplicate this experience at any other B&B. This is a really old house that's super clean. My dust mite allergy never kicked up. The food is great; hosts are warm and really interesting; rooms are true to the period of the house; art and art objects abound; incredible food just a short walk down the beach.... More

We highly recommend this B&B. Fantastic location right next to the beach with the best sunrise view! Jim and Gail are wonderful hosts. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean, with an absolutely great water and mountain view. Our stay there was perfect in every way!

My husband and I recently spent the weekend at the Commander's Beach House and had one of the most relaxing weekends ever. The house is right on the beach so I took a long beach walk the first morning. At night we opened our window (per Jim's suggestion) so that we could listen to the waves as we went to... More

This was our 3rd time at the Commanders Beach House and as always it was a very special weekend. We love the feel of this historic house on the ocean. The innkeepers (Jim and Gail) are super warm and welcoming. They make you feel so relaxed and comfortable from the moment you arrive. By itself this is a great place... More

We stayed at the Commander's Beach House and it was so pleasant. We had such a relaxing time. The breakfast in the morning was delightful, as well as the view. We will certainly be back soon. The dog that was there made it feel so homey.

We had a wonderful experience at the Commanders Beach House. Gail can really cook. Breakfast was fantastic and such a warm and inviting livingroom to relax. The sound of the waves outside of our bedroom window put us right to sleep. Gail and Jim were very helpful with places to eat and visit during our stay. We would recommend Commanders... More

We had a wonderful time at this precious bed and breakfast. Hummingbirds, rainbows, ocean, and kind company. I can't say enough. Port Townsend offers so many great shops and restaurants. Thank you to Jim and Gail! We will certainly come back soon!
