It was just perfect for a little escape from busy work. Flower surroundings, lovely dog, cozy room, delicious breakfast, more importantly the host are very kind! I definitely recommend to my friends. It is also good for a family! .........

Jim and Gail made us feel like we were part of the family. We felt right at home. Plenty of laughs, fantastic location and wonderful breakfast each morning. It's located right on the beach and you can walk to town easily. Would highly recommend a stay at the Commander's Beach House when you visit Port Townsend. Loved every minute of... More

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Commander's Beach House with our innkeepers, Jim & Gail. They were awesome. We loved being on the water, hearing the waves and listening to seagulls! Jim drove us to Fort Worden which allowed us to hike around the Fort and then back to the Commander's Beach House. Breakfasts were delicious and gave us... More

I stayed at this fantastic B&B with my husband for a wedding and vacation. I felt right at home! Excellent food, unbeatable view, and a resident labrador, Capt. Cutter, made this an unforgettable trip. The hosts were kind and hilarious! We felt like family and would love to visit again!

I spent a very enjoyable two nights at the Commander's in mid-June. Jim and Gail are wonderful hosts and served a delightful breakfast. The Commander's is just a short walk to the harbor and all the wooden boats and the great restaurants. Staying at the Commander's is just like having your own comfortable beach house on the Sound.

The Commander's Beach House is a great B&B right on the water. The room was nice & comfortable and facing the water. Slept with window wide open to hear the waves! The hosts were so nice and helpful; and what a great breakfast! I would recommend highly for a relaxing getaway!

We had a great time staying at the Commander's Beach House in Port Townsend. I nearly always stay there when I sail in for a stop-over on the way to the San Juans. It's a short walk from the Hudson Point Marina. This time, we had two friends from Iowa that hadn't been to the PNW before. They were enjoying... More

How can you beat this place! Wonderful innkeepers (Jim and Gail). Fabulous breakfasts, and oh, Lord, what a view. You are on the beach and next to the marina. The setting is spectacular, and for folks that might be getting up at night, check the Straits for the cruise ships returning to Seattle. They're lit up like Christmas Trees. We... More

Our first day/night was so perfect that we could not bring ourselves to carry on with our road trip, Our luck ran out on day 5, The Cammander's Beach house had no vacancy. Port Townsend along with this gem of a B & B will... More

Thanks to Jim and Gail, our stay at the B&B was a most relaxing stay. We choice this B&B because it is on the water. It was a pure delight to sit in the yard and enjoy the water. Our room had a view of the water and was very clean and comfortable. The B&B is also close to restaurants... More
