The halls are dimly lighted, dificult to see key lock, reserved room not available, given higher priced room with a tree for a view, above the LOUD MUSIC,reverly of the pub below, dimly lighted bathroom with narrow step up and into corner shower. I can't think of a reason to stay again- well the sheets and towels were clean. Charges on... more

We booked a room at the Waterstreet based on the many wonderful reviews on tripadvisor, but we were disappointed. We stayed in room 16 which has a kitchen and a master bedroom with queen bed for us and two trundle beds in the livingroom for the kids. My husband and I ended up sleeping in the twin trundles with the... more

We stayed in room 16 on the third floor, the second set of stairs look as if they are about to fall off the wall. The front windows of this room have Plexiglas over them, the beds were either rock hard or very warn out. The furnishings seem to have been thrift store finds or maybe alley way treasure, the... more

We found the hotel in the phone book and called to get a room, we were warned up front the hotel is over a bar with live music that night but the price was right. Normally our family stays at Starwood/Hilton properties. First impression, we were quite worried, the lady that runs the art gallery/gift store handles the phones and... more

It's important to note that this hotel is above a bar and so it can be loud. The noise did not bother us at all. We stayed in a room with a kitchen and a view from the bedroom which was actually quite nice. The beds were comfortable and the room, while old, was clean. The entire hotel is old... more

I just contacted this hotel about booking a stay here. I have never in all my years of making reservations been treated so rudely on the phone. No need to give a blow by blow account of the phone conversation but if this is the way they treat a potential customer on the phone, I would hate to see the... more

Had a nice overnight stay at the Waterstreet Hotel early in January. Looked at the hotel website and printed a discount coupon for our room. Price, including tax, was $43.06. As it is the off-season, there were plenty of rooms available all over town, but I doubt any were this reasonable. The decor was fine by me, as I like... more

Stayed on 3rd floor in room with mutiple beds and kitchenette. Agree stairs were a bit 'daunting' as others have said. Especially after a few beers in the bar below. Noise was not a problem, even on Friday and Saturday night while band played below. Second floor might be a bit louder. Very clean bright rooms with wonderful views. Lack... more

My boyfriend and I booked the third floor room with a view of the water. The view was amazing- we had a ‘private’ balcony that ran the width of the building and large windows on two sides of the large room. The highlight was sitting on the balcony in the swing and watching the boats, birds and ferry. The room... more

Yes, we agree - the Waterstreet is noisy! The music from the downstairs bar shook our room till 2 AM. Not surprisingly, we were exhausted all of the following day. We won't stay again. And no, we are not old! more
