What a beautiful location! We checked in a little early and our plans to hike to another beach went out the window; the allure of the placid clean water - 11 miles worth - was too strong. Jenny's Cottage not only has charm but also a porch, framed by a lovely madrone tree, with a fantastic view of Discovery Bay.... More

We spent two nights at Bay Cottage. The location of the property and the views are resort quality. Access to a private, beach you can walk for miles and collect shells and driftwood. Wonderful common patio with gorgeous view of discovery bat and the Olympic mtns. We saw dolphins, sea lions, bald eagles and a variety of birds specific to the... More

We were absolutely charmed with the " bygone days" atmosphere of the cabin we stayed in. We were only able to stay one night, but would have loved to have stayed longer and enjoyed the views, the beach and the quiet. Not having TV "forced" us to have a great time playing one of the many table games provided. Upon... More

From the moment we turned onto the gravel driveway down to the main house, we knew this was going to be a wonderful place to stay while we explored the area. Ed, our host, was gracious and inviting, with the cookies and strawberries adding to the welcome. The cottage in the main house was quaint and unplugged, with a rustic... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bay Cottage. With its quiet and peaceful setting. We loved walking on the beach. Which happens to be private. You can walk for miles and treasure hunt. (sand dollars everywhere). The owner Ed was great. He was very accommodating and friendly. We will plan another trip back to Discovery Bay next year. Thank... More

What a disappointment. Horrible smell, probably from mold mostly hidden under bulging white panels apparently glued to the ceiling. Apparently furnished with Goodwill rejects. Dirty, including a nice collection of dead flies on the window sills. No screens on windows. Impractical shower. And no wifi, although Ed claims there is some spot elsewhere on the property when there are 'four... More

We spent two nights in the Seaside Cottage and truly enjoyed our stay. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. There were many small things that made us feel really welcome: a hand-written letter after our reservation with information about our upcoming visit, fresh strawberries and cookies in the cottage, as well as coffee, sherry, and several other things. The... More

From the moment we opened the door to this cottage, we were charmed by the magic of this setting. The cottage is delightfully "unplugged" - no need for TV or any other "entertainment" a peace filled place indeed. The Bay is gorgeous & walkable, the nights are quiet. The host is a wonderful blend of friendly, yet gave us our... More

It will be difficult to improve on the experience available at Bay Cottages in Port Townsend. The peaceful setting, intimate closeness of Discovery Bay and the friendliness of the proprietor make this a rare treat. You are on the water here, tuned to the tides and the rhythms of the life in and around the bay. The lodging is charming,... More

The cottage and the waterfront access were charming and the perfect retreat for any length vacation. The cottage, which was one of two on the property had a full kitchen that the proprietor stocked with just the right equipment for cooking or just enjoying morning coffee and orange juice, which he has waiting for his guests. Another great touch are... More
