Well we have stayed here before and it had a great view and it was always very peaceful, but not anymore. We came in late in the evening so we did not see that the once nice view of the ocean and beach was now gone because of construction going infront of the bungalos we were going to stay in. After... more

After reading the reviews, I thought the Swan cottage was above average. It would have been very pleasant except for the construction going on across the street. The cottage was very cozy and clean. The staff was nice. more

This was our first vist to Port Townsend and after a long day of traveling we just wanted to get a room and get some rest. We had thought that we'd get a room at a Best Western or something of that kind of generic accomadation. You know, something clean, affordable and nothing fancy. We drove down the main street... more

The website for this hotel gives the impression of spacious grounds right on the water with spectacular views. In actuality the bay is across the street and the view you get of the water is past the boat club and harbor (and soon to be museum). The grounds are incredibly small with parking for about 5 cars and the cottages... more

The Swan is a very quaint, old facility right next to the boat docks at the edge of town. The buildings are old, but are well maintained. Our room had a slight musty smell, but I would have expected worse given it location next to the water and with high amount of precipitation in the region. The "deluxe spa amenities"... more

Very Clean and comfortable. Great location at the end of Water Street, you can walk to all the shopping and restaurants. There are a couple nice restaurants behind the hotel, at the docks. We stayed in A1 on the first floor, and you can hear the people walking above. If you like to sleep in I'd pay the extra $20... more

We thought Port Townsend was pretty charming and definitely enjoyed our stay at the Swan for one night. The room was not that remarkable but it was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the main building on the second floor and there was no view from our room. The location was great, right at the end of the main downtown... more

Very nice place---very close to harbour and marina and right on the end of the main street - very short walk to all the quaint shops, cafes and pubs on main street and easy walk to historic buildings and architecture. The hotel itself is very clean, and well maintained in a unique building. Disagree with review about "sheds" and "cabbage".... more

We are newlyweds and took a mini-honeymoon up in Port Townsend. We loved it. We stayed in Cottage 4 at the Swan with our Golden Retriever. It was very clean and since it was "pet-friendly" I was glad that it had hardwood floors. It is definetly older but the bed was comfortable and we didn't spend much time in the... more

We chose this hotel mainly because it was the least chintzy of the ones we could find in Port Townsend. The hotel is set up like a motel with rooms around the car park. The little balconies are nice but I'm glad we didn't pay extra for a view- none of the views were very spectacualr and the majority were... more
