The lobby is very inviting and the desk staff very friendly. Our spacious room had a lovely decor that made you feel like you were staying at Grandma's house. The bed was very comfortable and we woke to our delightful breakfast delivered in a basket to our door. Other small treats were strategically dishes of candy and popcorn and movies... More

We have previously stayed at two hotels in Port Townsend: a castle and a former brothel. After that...what is there? Well, how about the Bishop Victorian? Wasn't sure what we were getting into other than a good location (one block off the main road (water street) but the Bishop was welcoming, cozy and friendly. The woman at the desk was... More

As others have said, "Great location" within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Fair warning to anyone with a problem climbing stairs: there's no elevator (25 stairs to the second floor and another 18 to the third!) Our room was comfortable and clean. We weren't made aware that room service was only scheduled until noon and nearly missed out... More

We used The Bishop Victorian Hotel as our base to tour the Olympic Peninsula after leaving the San Juan Islands. As a base, it was a little far for sightseeing but a real pleasure to return to in the evening. After touring all day, it is convenient to the historical downtown and an easy walk to the stores, bars, and... More

The night clerk is a joy, the morning clerk is her evil twin, completely focused on getting you out of there by checkout time. Room was very nice and well equipped, the continental breakfast arriving in a wicker basket outside the door was a treat.

Stayed with the family for two days over Memorial Day Weekend, we boated in to the Port Hudson Marina and it was a 5 minute walk to the Bishop. The hotel is located one block off the main business waterfront business district which is quite nice. Quiet street, plenty of parking we noticed. There are small boutique shops in the... More

Very polite and accommodating staff. Lovely Victorian decor. Modern bath. Clean and inviting. Comfortable bed and pillows. Complimentary tea, coffee, apples, and lite continental breakfast. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 3rd floor suite. Not cramped at all. Very relaxing, warm, and cozy. Walking distance to everything downtown. Free parking so leave the car in the lot and go explore.

If you really enjoy victorian style rooms and the historic significance of this hotel, stay here. Otherwise, there are better options for the price. The location was great but the beds were really uncomfortable and the fabric had a musty smell. Also, the walls are really thin, I could hear the man next door snoring all night.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights for a wedding. We had a apartment on the 3rd floor which included a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with fireplace which is great for cold nights. Had a relaxing stay, the only negative was the paper thin walls. We were woken up early in the morning by our next door neighbor talking... More
