There were 4 couples that rented the house for an overnight stay as we were going to The Strange Brew Festival in Pt Townsend on the weekend. This is a State owned and State run officers rental home in the historic Fort Worden State Park. We stayed in a 2 story 5 bedroom 3 bath house the dinning room sat... More

We stayed in one of the Officer's Row houses in the park, built in 1904. These are not luxury homes, but they were when this was an active military installation. The park is attempting to repair the wear & tear on these houses (and other park structures), but - by all appearances - are having a tough time keeping up.... More

We rented the Madrona Vista barrack for a family reunion. The place is spacious, bright and airy with all the large windows able to open. It is of course old, but the necessary updates have been made in the fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and the private bedrooms with queen size beds are perfectly comfy. We BBQ'd on the large... Dude, who decided this was a 'hotel'? This is Officer's Row, like a Summer house you rent. You don't walk down the hall to get ice or look for the pool! It's a State Park, how did it rank as a multi-unit hotel? BTW Been staying there since the 70s, before they were remodeled, and afterwards. You bring friends and... More

Our whole family stayed on officer row #w11. The furnature was new, 6 bed rooms, 4 fireplaces, 3 bathrooms. One bedroom had a private bathroom and it's own fireplace, another had it's own fireplace. Look on the rental site for a list of kitchen ware. It was all very nice, quality cookware and lots of it to. Our unit was setup... More

I was excited to stay in one of the Non-Commissioned Officer's Houses because I am a big fan of the movie (An Officer and a Gentleman). Balked at the very high rate ($200/night), but went ahead with the reservation anyway. Got there late. Checked into the unit, and was greeted by a strong musty smell. There were dirty coffee cups... Thhe historic homes at Fort Worden are not for everyone, especially is you are looking for luxury, new modern furniture, or full service. But they are perfect for families and groups who want to enjoy this beautiful setting in an historic home. The furniture may see a bit old, the appliances dated, but everything is very clean and the rooms... More

We booked Bliss House at Port Townsend and were looking forward to three nights...coming from the very hot midwest, the cooler climate and ocean breezes really attracted us. Communication was fine with the reservations team, in fact we had to do some rescheduling and they were very helpful. You end up leaving messages, though. Very hard to reach a person... More

My family has stayed on "Officer's Row" for years, but this year none of those houses were available during out stay, so we booked house # 353. It was lovely, 4 big bedrooms and was handicap accessible which was a bonus! The accommodations are always comfortable, but not luxurious. We stay at Fort Worden to get away from the regular... More

We booked "Bliss Vista" for the Jazz Port Townsend weekend. The house is a one bedroom (with an addtional bed in a seperate "room" 8*4 feet next to the living room) with a full kitchen overlooking the bay. It has a full kitchen and "feels" like a 1950's house (no TV). The house is very comfortable although slightly "run down".... More
